Blocking companies from tracking your torrent downloads using peer guardian

Does using peer guardian actually prevent you from being tracked by companies that will make your isp send you those warning letters?

When a company appears on the blocked list, does it mean that they can’t detect you at all? I got numerous listings on the blocked list from some company called bay tsp, which apparently is some company that tracks people who commit piracy. If they are on the blocked list, does that mean that they do not know that I am downloading something?

Thanks.

Cheers.

No.

Once you start torrenting, the tracker announces your IP address to everyone on the torrent swarm. Perhaps Peer Guardian can block you from connecting with specific IP addresses, but you can't expect to be protected from every spy out there.

Ciao.

Perhaps what you are looking for is being behind seven proxies. I'd love to see a guide for that.

Cheers.

I'm posting behind seven proxies and it only took two minutes for this text to post.

No, you're never really anonymous online. Anyone that tells you that you can be is a tinfoil hat-san.

Ciao.
