Trout Mask Replica... I've heard about this one, and I've wanted to at least try it out to see what it sounds like. It's got quite the reputation, you see. Thanks again, Plug, and welcome back to the club! It's awesome to have you around again!

Just out of curiosity, what are people's opinions on music format? I've downloaded one or two albums so far in .WMA format, which is useless to me (and my Mac), though I have absentmindedly uploaded an album in .M4A (though it is more cross-platform than .WMA).
Anyone have specific qualms with certain formats? I can't take .WMA, and because of that I try to keep all my uploaded albums as .MP3s, but sometimes even I cannot help it. |

nabhan is presently my hero. I've wanted to listen to A Silver Mt. Zion, and all of that coupled with some GY!BE I've never seen before makes my night! I also uploaded some more of my own stuff into the thread for all of you to enjoy. I found this band through a friend of mine from high school, who is cousins with the bassist in the band. They're good stuff.

I would like to second that thank to nabhan for all that A Silver Mt. Zion work. Unless he plans to upload more, I have one of their albums that he didn't upload (Born Into Trouble As The Sparks Fly Upward) along with two Explosions in the Sky albums, if people are interested in them.
Also, many thanks to Tawnee Stoner for that Plastilina Mosh album! I've been looking for them since the last GFFST. You have anything else by them? |
|
I've got all three EitS albums (prior to their most recent one) that I could upload as well. If you want to coordinate the uploads, send me a PM.
I'm going to listen to Silver Mt. Zion now. I hope you all enjoy Lake Trout as well. |
Admiral Amara, your upload Tales from Topographic Oceans appears to have expired. I'm interested in hearing it; can you re-upload it? |
|
Absolutely! I'll get on that right away, it'll be up before you get back on. Also, thanks for all of the Silver Mt. Zion. Wonderful stuff!
EDIT: Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans now successfully uploaded. Enjoy.

I suppose it's about time for me to add in my two cents after procrastinating for two months. Any rave enthusiest or fan of electronica ought to find plenty of enjoyment with Hallucinogen's work. A deep base beat mingling with layer over layer of sound and noise, perfect for the dance scene when lighthearted songs just won't do. Have fun.
Also, massive props to Iwata for Algy Krebs and Encephalon for Birdy Nam Nam. Both albums made my day the moment I heard them. ![]() |

I like how El Jacko uploaded one of my favorite albums ever, Sarah Blasko's The Underscore and the Overture. A few days ago I nearly uploaded her Prelusive EP, but never got around to it. I hope all of you download her album and enjoy it as much as I do.
Did someone call my name?
