Menomena - "I Am the Fun Blame Monster"
I Monster - "Neveroddoreven" American Football - Self-titled Joan of Arc - "How Memory Works" Adam Green - "Friends of Mine" Frankly, my playlist was feeling light on the experimental, indie, electronic, and anti-folk. XD |

Target is now my go-to place for DVDs.
(Target exclusive?) The Man with No Name trilogy boxed set -- $14.99!: -A Fistful of Dollars -For a Few Dollars More -The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Target is awesome for putting these small sets out. Around the holiday season last year I bought the Die Hard trilogy set for $20. Continuing on: Children of Men Rocky Balboa The Iron Giant (Special Edition DVD) Turistas Casino Royale (Widescreen 2-disc set) |

Recently picked up the other night:
Pan's Labyrinth The Fountain. Finally received the CD I orderd from the UK today: Journey to Atlantis I haven't stopped listening to it since I ripped it. It's the kind of atmospheric/ambient CD I've been looking for. |

Damn, lots of stuff obtained since my last post. I'll try to list it all, but I know I'll probably forget something.
The 4400 - The Third Season: Summer TV is about to kick into gear soon, so I picked this up to reacquaint myself with this show before Season 4 starts next month. I felt this was needed, since I didn't really pay enough attention to it while it was on TV (mainly because I had watched the first two seasons on DVD only, so it was a different experience watching it on TV). If this same thing winds up happening again with Season 4, I might just to only watching this show on DVD. ER - The Complete Seventh Season: my second favorite show of all time comes out with another season on DVD, so of course I'.m there to buy it on the first day of release. Target had it on sale for $30, so I bought it there and as soon as I got home I started watching it. I've been watching at least two episodes a day, though on at least one day I watched up to four. I'm currently up to the fifth disc, and I only have four more episodes to go. Once I'm done, I go back into withdrawal until about December, when Season 8 will most likely come out. Gilmore Girls - The Complete Sixth Season: I've been slowly collecting this show on DVD to watch one day, so when this was on sale for around $20 I quickly picked it up. I've seen quite a few episodes on TV, but I've never seen it completely from beginning to end, which is why I'm getting the DVDs. Now that I know the show has ended, I'll probably start watching this show once Season 7 comes out on DVD. The Shield - Seasons 2-4: Another one of my favorite shows of all time, I've been collecting this one as well just to rewatch one day. So far I only had the first season, which was on sale for around $20 some time ago, but once I found out Circuit City had the first four seasons on sale for $18 each, I had to get 2-4. I don't know if I'll ever get around to watching them anytime soon, but it's just nice to have them for whenever I want to rewatch them one day. Veronica Mars - The Complete Second Season: I saw one episode of this show on TV one day after the first season had already aired, and I thought it was pretty good. This lead to me eventually buying the first season on DVD when it was on sale a while back. Since the second season was on sale about a month ago, I decided to buy it as well, knowing I would eventually get to watching them one day. Now that it seems like the show is going to be cancelled, I'll probably wait for the third season to come out and then watch it all in one go, as I did with other shows such as Arrested Development and The Pretender. ![]() |

Just in:
Still Life - Jia Zhang Ke's Golden Lion winner is not yet released in the US; I had it imported from yesasia at a surprisingly sweet deal. Needless to say, a masterpiece. It's incredible that this comes from a man only a few years older than I am. The Rules of the Game (Criterion) Pandora's Box (Criterion) Absolute essentials that made me wish I owned a printing press. |

dvd: i don't know it's been so i long, i have blockbuster online, so i never buy dvds anymore
cd: david ford's state of the union single, check him out, he's my favorite artist! There are smiles as they erode and corrupt you Of the great expectations you could never live up to We are lost, we are lost, we are lost |

Picked up Afro Samurai on impulse today. Don't know much about it, but it looked interesting.
Also got season one of Batman Beyond. It's step one in my adventure into the Batman world. I'm going to start with the mainstream stuff, probably going into the more recent movies, and eventually into the comics. |
|
Queens Of The Stone Age - Era Vulgaris: Great album, though not as good as their magnum opus "Songs For The Deaf".
The Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist: They are back! The next logical step to Machina. Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos: Probably their best since Scenes From A Memory. Major con: half of the songs of this album sound too much similar to other bands (Metallica, Muse, Opeth, Evanescence). |

![]() First movie.. on.. disc.. thina-ma-hig.. VCD.. laser disc that I'd been looking forward to for ages. Not backwards! It came in a completely pointless tin case and everything. ![]() What the hell is the point of this? This was just the standard edition, there was another with an art book or some shit. What's that come packed in? A safe made of meat patties?! That would be delicious and very bad at storing items. |

Recently bought:
Out of the list, Hero was a complete waste of money. I guess chinese-based martial arts movies aren't my thing. I expected it to be like Unleashed or something. Premonition made no sense at all, and I bought Mortal Kombat so I can repeadetly watch the fight scene between Lu Kang and Reptile. |
