Staggering backward, Brigid clears the gunk from her face.
Brigid 17/3, blindness cured Motsognir hacks away at the skullcleaver. 7 damage Gabe follows suit, taking a moment to patch up Brigid. Blood trickles over the skullcleaver's face, and he seems to get very angry. This makes him difficult to like. 7 damage, skullcleaver bloodied. Gabriel 21 (2)/7, Brigid 24/3 The hexer retreats further and flings a clod of filth in Motsognir's direction. It gets in his eyes and stings unbearably. Critical Hit! 13 damage; Motsognir 16/0 and blind. Desperate to clear the interloper from their ledge, the sharpshooters continue to focus their efforts on Argumentus. 7 damage (shortsword); Argumentus 8/8 Argumentus, Bob, Goblin Skullcleaver, Brigid, Motsognir, Gabriel, Goblin Hexer, Goblin Sharpshooters |

Their resistance only makes his determination harder, Argumentus continues with full force, attacking the goblin with a Reaping Strike, spending an AP and following through with another Reaping Strike.

It was clear that silencing the Hexxer was critical to our victory. Fearsome warriors though they were, even the Horde were rendered largely helpless once blinded. I sprinted forward with a burst of speed generally reserved for tactical retreats, taking cover behind the large pillar in the centre of the room. I leaned out to line up a shot and screamed at the top of my voice "MMMMMAAAAAAAGGGGGEEEEEE FFFIIIIIIIGGGGHHHTTT" before blasting the goblin with a ray of ice.
Run to cover south of central pillar, Ray of Frost on goblin wizard. ![]() |

Argumentus continues to mercilessly pummel the desperate sharpshooter.
10 damage, 5 damage, sharpshooter bloodied Bob throws down the gauntlet, challenging the hexer to single combat. "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" calls the hexer. "Not so fast. Not until we get the rules straightened out." "Rules?" the skullcleaver asks. "In a mage fight?" "Well, then" says the hexer. "If there ain't gonna be any rules, let's— OW!" 5 damage, hexer slowed "Listen, Hoggle. I don't mean to be a sore loser. But when this is over, if I'm dead? Kill him." "Love to." In the meantime, however, Hoggle has dwarves to deal with on either side. Swinging his axe in a mad fury, he... misses. "You never could fight, Hoggle. Not from the very beginning." Brigid, Motsognir, Gabriel, Goblin Hexer, Goblin Sharpshooters, Argumentus, Bob |

Well, I'll be. I feel pretty good for someone who was having the death-blinds just one turn ago. No rest for the weary though!
Moves one square east Priest's Shield on Hoggle, buff to self and Soggy |

Motsognir couldn't see anything. "My eyes!" he welped. Ah, but that was of little use. "Get that sunnuvabitch!" he yelped, which was a bit more effective.
Speak Inspiring Words To Myself Gabe makes a Commander's Strike on Hoggle (I assume my blindness won't effect my ability to tell other people to do things?) ![]() |

Feeling revived, Brigid hurries to the defense of the flailing dwarves.
Critical Hit! 9 damage Staggering around blindly, Motsognir asks Gabriel to deal out the beatings. Gabe is a little unnerved when a howling goo-faced man shrieks at him, and his swing doesn't connect. Blindness continues. With no surges left, you can't inspire anybody. =( Gabriel, Goblin Hexer, Goblin Sharpshooters, Argumentus, Bob, Brigid, Motsognir |

The dwarf simply slid to the side, putting the goblin between himself and brigid, and looked to bury his axe in the creature's back before spinning the weapon and splattering blood at the thing's feet, if it's still alive. His eyes all the challenge necessary.
move one square diagonal up-right. Bolstering Strike with creature pinned between brigid and himself. Divine Challenge on Hoggle. |

Gabriel's indignant assault on Hoggle's fashion-thieving ways continues, challenging him mano-a-mano for Mastery of Hats. There can only be one Hatmaster.
8 damage Having been challenged in a duel of the arcane arts, the hexer turns his attention to Bob. He hurls a clod of muck at the elf, but it splatters harmlessly against the pillar. Both sharpshooters continue to hammer away at Argumentus. Making no inroads, they both retreat a step or two. Argumentus, Bob, Goblin Skullcleaver, Brigid, Motsognir, Gabriel, Goblin Hexer, Goblin Sharpshooters |

Argumentus couldn't get anywhere without support. He'd drawn the goblins' attention for long enough and it was time to seize glory!
Argumentus jumps from the ledge and moves south of the skullcleaver, attacking it with a Reaping Strike. ![]() |

I watched as the big guy disengaged from the goblin archers. I knew it was terribly bad form to back out of a mage fight so soon after starting it but I was painfully aware of the fact that with no massive death-dealing human to worry about, the closest target the archers had was my exposed back. Even my newly gained shielding powers were unlikely to stop too many arrows from piercing my thin robes and I was in no mood for becoming a pin-cushion.
Cursing the big oaf's impetuousness, I broke cover and ran west, taking up a new vantage point behind the westernmost pillar. Satisfied that I was safe here from unexpected attacks from behind, I shifted my attention to the injured goblin archer, firing off an ice ray at the creature, hoping that he'd fall off the ledge with shock or something. If nothing else, I'd be able to scavenge his arrows for the bow I'd not really used much up to this point... Move west to stand west of western pillar, Ray of Frost on bloodied archer ![]() |

Argumentus jumps down from the 10-foot ledge and hits the ground running, smashing his hammer into Hoggle with great momentum.
Hoggle responds to this primarily by expiring. Not a big talker, that one. 11 damage, Skullcleaver killed The battered and bleeding sharpshooter finds Bob's frost ray a little too much to deal with, sighing gustily and lying down for a permanent nap. 6 damage, Sharpshooter killed Brigid, Motsognir, Gabriel, Goblin Hexer, Goblin Sharpshooter, Argumentus, Bob |

With all the men commensin' to beat on the skull-goblin, it wasn't long before he was down. Unfortunately he was the least of our worries, what with a sniper and a hexer taking their fine time with it. The fancy lady was fixin' to beat the hexer at his own game and while I doubt she can do it by herself, the two dwarves will need something to keep their hands busy. She don't need my help none.
Moves to stand SE of the center pillar Sling at remaining Sharpshooter |

Brigid plunks away at the sharpshooter in the far corner, but he barely seems to notice.

Gabriel presses his holy symbol to Argumentus' grievous wounds, but nothing happens. It seems that Kord's supply of lifesaving miracles is depleted for today. Undeterred, Gabriel sprints over to the Hexer, lingering around and invading the goblin's personal space.
Finding it awkward to do the hoodoo that he can do under such cramped conditions, the hexer resorts to the embarrassing act of bonking Gabe on the head with his skull-on-a-stick. This is, to say the least, ineffective. In a burst of bravado, the remaining sharpshooter draws his sword and leaps off the ledge in pursuit of Argumentus. The drop is too far for the little guy and he lands on his face with an unpleasant crunch. 8 falling damage, prone Argumentus, Bob, Brigid, Motsognir, Gabriel, Goblin Hexer, Goblin Sharpshooter

The lack of healing magicks would not deter Argumentus on this day! Argumentus moves as far as he can towards the Hexer before finishing with a full defense.
