[PC] Stay awhile, and listen!

So does anyone still play Diablo 2? I just picked it up again last month and I can't remember why I ever stopped.

Who's up for some good old-fashioned Baal runs?

I'd be so in (especially since I haven't played much with the latest patch) except for my CD being across the state and me having no clue in which box I should tell my parents to look.

I started playing again about a month ago, but I already got a little burned out on it. Had a friend run me through levels, etc. etc. and I just lost interest all over again.

Probably because you had a friend run you through levels. =\

I've never understood the purpose of that. I always felt the fun in the game was coming up with new builds and seeing how they worked out. Yeah, 75% of the time they sucked, but they're still a lot of fun to play (I'll take my bowadin over a firewall sorc any day), but that's why you get so many characters on each account.

I was hella addicted back in the old days, but only to D2 Classic. The expansion pack had a lot more hacking and such going on, and I preferred the simpler and more streamlined Classic.

Like Racin, I was all about the new builds--IMO, the system Blizzard used was one of the most flexible and fun anywhere. I created a melee Sorceress that worked very well, a Tankazon that was nigh unkillable in duels, and a Bone Magic necromancer that could pwn all with high-level, unresistable spells.

Then I forgot about it and all my characters were deleted, and I haven't had the heart to touch it since. But since that was only 2005 or so, it's still pretty recent.

I'd be in but I'd be playing USWest so yeah. Its kinda disheartening sometimes because I always think to myself "man, I can't wait to get a high rune." Then I actually look up the chances and I'm like . I believe it takes about 40million El runes to make a Zod, which is ridiculous.

It's kinda dumb now though, Hammerdins are all the rage. I'm such a hypocrite.

Oh yeah, I remember playing this extremely interesting game. Somehow, though, I lost the CD and I didn't want to buy a new one, so yeah, nice memories, but I wouldn't play it again

Been such a long time since I played I can't remember where I've put my copy. If I can manage to find it, I might be up for a game.

I'd be down for some Diablo 2 action. Do you guys play on the secure realms or what? Also, it's been so long, I'm not sure how I want to spec my barbarian this time, and I don't really remember what worked. I think going whirlwind was the best way, but again, it's been forever and a day.
