[360] Xbox Live Pick-up Games

It's gotten to the point recently that there are significantly more GFFers with Live now than those who frequent the #xblive IRC channel. While most of the core group resides in there, many don't.

I figure this thread would be good for starting pick up games, maybe? Try organizing a little something from time to time in here instead of on-the-fly in IRC or over AIM, maybe? It also might be easier this way as many of us are finishing up our semesters and it might be simpler to plan ahead rather than interrupt study time randomly.

Anyway, what do people think about an Ace Combat game this weekend? Friday night, maybe? I haven't played with more than two or three of you guys at a time in that game yet.

Friday night or Saturday afternoon/evening/night would be good. We've just added a couple of new pilots recently, in Omagnus and DN, so it would be cool to get them into a game, along with Skills, Tails, myself, and whoever else might want to go a few rounds.

I'd be all for showing everyone just how superior the GELB Squadron is this weekend.

So who's all in for tonight? I know I am, Tails is, russ now. Blah is tentatively, any other assholes up for it?

I might get on this tonight, but it depends on how things go. I'm going to try and get some overtime in at work (5 hours I'm planning), but we'll see what happens.

We've got to get some guys on Ace Combat one evening this week {like maybe 6 PM CST or so} maybe Wednesday night or Thursday night, since I am probably going to be working something like 30 hours between Saturday and Sunday.

I, in all likelihood, will be unavailable until Wednesday, so your choice of days are satisfactory for me. Beware though, since Mass Effect came out, my Fish4 skills have eroded immensely, and I pull k/ds of stuff like 15/15, 24/21, 31/28 pretty regularly, depending on the map, while at my Call of DatArabTriple 4 peak I was getting 30/20 regularly.

In. Gotta polish up a bit, but in.

I might be able to do something tonight, but I haven't even done ANY CoD4 Multi.

i.e. I'll be teh suck.

Naz, Plarom, etc., Would definitely do it again in the future. If only to rank up more (j/k, also to play with you guys).

So, are we still going to be playing Fish4 tonight? Or are we scheduling this for another night this week? Of course, if Call of Duty nights falls through, I would be willing to substitute in Ace Combat.

Also Mo0 got AC6 today, which should be epic lulz.

Well, I really only turn on my mini-laptop when I am at home these days, and I just never bothered to install an IRC client on it. I suppose I could hop in on days when I expect to play some online game.

Eventually we might get enough people playing AC6 with us that we won't even have to bother with randoms. Of course that would lead to arguments over how you, Skills, and myself would be split apart, since we are to AC6 what Devo is to Halo.

Although I really doubt it'll get to the point where there are ten of us on at the same time and we have to split. We usually don't have more than 6, even on nights when everyone is present.

Skills, Tails, Iwata, Rufus, Rotorblade, Mo0, Blah, Omagnus, and myself make nine. And I know that we've had some other GFF people playing with us before. I guess that while unlikely, it isn't impossible to think that we could have a day where we'd be split.

And while I wouldn't presume to rank you, Skills, or myself in terms of who is best, second best, and third best at GFF, I think it's safe to say that we are the top three, and that no one of us is better than the next two combined. So you could take on both of us, but you'd lose. Unless, of course, you chose the single most dominant plane on the game, the F-117

I may get AC6, but I just get the feeling I'd get blown out of the sky a hundred times before I finally figured out how to do something. We'll see.

In the meantime, I'm always up for some Arab Triple and some of the other games you guys play online. Just hit me up if you want me to roll with you guys, because for now, I'll probably just be working on finishing up Assassin's Creed and starting Mass Effect.
