Just making this thread so that we can at least find out everyone who is participating in this match so either just post here with Friend Code, Ingame name and that you want in (If you're going to have a relative join in too, give me the same info) and I'll get a list going.

Is this the same league/tourney as being discussed in the other thread? If so, I'll merge this and someone (Either Chaotic or you) should just keep an updated post on the first page somewheres. Seems easier than bouncing back and forth between a couple of threads, no?

Well, since you're running the preliminary tournament, that's to your discretion, but we can't start anything until we actually get all the match settings and stages set up first, so this should be plenty of time for people to sign up.

Skills, if possible, could you just rename this to the Tournament instead of League? We're doing the tournament first. If people are alright with it, those who do this will also be signed up for the league when the time comes. Your call though, Skills. If you wanna merge it, I'll move the sign-ups to the first post.

Wait, so the tourney and the afformentioned leagues are not one and the same projects? Quite...ambitious. This place churns through titles extremely fast, would it not be more prudent to maybe transform this into a general purpose friend code thread and then just put signups for the groups in it at a later point?

Not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but jumping the gun and trying to set up tourneys and leagues when you're still in the planning stages for the first major participation event seems a like you're getting a head of yourself a bit. I fully endorse trying to get everyone together though, it's a great community building tool.

If this IS the same thing as the tourney, why not maintain a sign up list in that thread. You're gonna have to explain the benefit of having two threads for organized events for the same game before either of them get even initially underway.

Then again, maybe I'm just really confused and/or stupid. This wouldn't be the first time.

They are partially one in the same. The thread I currently have going is so that anyone who wants to participate in the preliminary events for the "clan wars/tournament/leauge" or whatever, can sign up here. This way, everyone who wants to participate will know who else is fighting and ya-de-ya-de-ya.

I agree with you that it is still in the planning stages but I, personally, feel that by having this thread, people can swing by, post the info and not have to talk about anything else. I.E.

I feel that if people can post their information here, it would prevent confusion as well as let people enter the preliminaries. If they decide to wuss out after that because they lost too many or something of that sort, it wouldn't count against them. It would also prevent people who don't want to be entered into the tournament, like yourself, from accidentally being included.

(And yes, I came up with everything I just said, on the spot, yet i can't give speeches worth shit)

To clarify:

The tournament (run by Slash) will be a round-robin tournament to determine the clan leaders for the league (which will run by me). So they're hand-in-hand. As I said, your call if you wanna merge this with my thread or close it up for now.

Oh ok, fair enough. I'll just generalize this title a bit like Chaotic suggested and then leave it be. You guys clearly have more experience setting this sort of thing up and a much clearer vision for this project than I am capable of grasping at this point, so I'll let you guys bounce shit off of each other and do your thing while I'll generally hang back, unless you need me for something.

(I seriously thought the league/tourney thing was gonna be one project, with teams/leagues squaring off against each other instead in 2 on 2 or something with a point based system instead of single player advancements for clan leader positions. My bad.)

! is his battle name. Vince is his Profile name.

I mentioned to add their in-game name also (even though I'm aware we're fighting 1v1 matches), but just in case their in-game name was different than their profile name, it would be nice to know.

CN, should his brother participate, would fall in that category, and so would Wolf, should her sister participate.

I've just been placing their ingame names since Profile names wouldn't matter much IMO
