I started giving this a shot last night and it really is lots of fun. At the moment I am not all that great but I am slowly getting into the swing of things.

Does this play anything like Hot Shots Golf from the PS?

Either way, I may give it a go. An online golf game sounds fun. :3

I used to play this a lot awhile back, it reminded me a lot of Hot Shots and it was fun. Eventually I stopped mainly because they had this annoying disconnect bug where you'd play about 1 shot and get disconnected the next, everyone would lag out and such...very annoying. Does anyone get that problem now, I'm guessing they fixed it by now.

Depends on your connection, though unfortunately lag outs/disconnects are still somewhat common (Kari disconnects like every three games).

I suppose it'll be fixed by the time they implement Pangya Season 2 here.

Holy crap, you're still alive!

I agree the game feels a lot like Hot Shots, though from the few rounds I've played so far it feels a bit easier. Do you guys tend to do your swinging by clicking the right mouse button or using the spacebar?

Also, using RacinReaver in the game.
everyday's great at your Junes.

I generally use the space bar, it's easier for me to get the inputs that way and I guess I just time it better with that and argh I couldn't sign up to that tournament... ah well.

Zomg RR, you nerd! Ya pretty much still alive, busy with work and stuff =p

This game is great to relax, most of the people I played with are extremely nice and helpful. It's funny how you play a game and 3 of the guys do tomahawks, and then when it's your turn you hit a plain pangya...so shamed, even do I have no idea how to do a tomahawk. So far I haven't got the disconnection problems even after playing a 18 hole game, which is great. The new character additions look great along with some new caddies.

Tried to sign up for the tourney thing... late anyways.

This game is awesome. I've played it for a bit and now i'm hooked
Not willing to spend any real money on it yet though, maybe later
Like Wakatu said, the ppl are extremely nice and helpful. I've never expected this... thought the only conversation I was going to have either involved crushing my noobness or lot's of l33t talk, like you see in Gunbound or Gunz

Today's update brings us exclusive items that cost cookies, for those of us who dump our life savings into this game, or something.

Every player basically gets some army camo gear. A top, bottom, and hat.

The image is misleading, these items are on sale (10% off) for one week, as stated, just ending June 1st and not July. We speculate the items will stop being sold on July 1st though.

As far as stats go, they are your basic +1 power +2 slot (top), +1 control +3 slot (bottom), +1 spin +1 slot (hat) type gears.

Check this out guys.

It seems Nintendo Wii will get a Pangya game, named Super Swing Golf Pangya. Screens are currently unavailable as only little information has been released.

Quote:
The Wiire: Is this in-game or CG?

Arbogast: I believe it's CG, but it's going to look just like that. That was Kasumi [from Dead or Alive], so there are some Tecmo characters in the game. So the game looks great, and from what I've been told it's playing great with the Wii controllers.
Well that sucks. I liked the cute design for the characters but instead they go for the realistic look. Not that Kasumi is bad, the game has grown on me in it's current form.

Quote:
The Wiire: So, the game will not possess online play?

Arbogast: That's correct. It will be a multiplayer game, but not online.
Well that sucks even more, this game just screams online play. I mean, what stops them from charging cookies for this game? Nintendo stated before that it doesn't control any form of fees or charge as it's for the developer to decide.
Quote:
The Wiire: Nintendo announced the WiiConnect24 service at its media briefing earlier in the week. That seems to play into the PC versions' downloadable characters and costumes. Do you think we might see this functionality implemented into the Wii Pangya golf?

Arbogast: I would hope so. That's exactly how the PC version of this game is played, so assuming we get online support from Nintendo, hopefully something like that can happen in the future, whether it's for this game with a downloadable update, or in a future sequel.
So if the deal goes on they will create downloadable content. Without multiplayer it would be pretty silly though. The game's coming early 2006/late 2007 so they have plenty of time to think it over.

So how is this game going to be any different from the inevitable Mario Golf which is going to come out? All the Mario one would have to do is put on Online play and there'll be no decision in which game to buy.

I've tried playing this game, but I too suffer from a lousy connection. Lagging out every other whole is not a good way to start off.

Would anyone happen to know the ports so I can forward it on my router?
