Oddities with anime subtitles

Something funny happened when I started watching anime today. Although the file would play fine in Media Player Classic, the subtitles would be 'doubled' when the video was expanded to full screen. For an example, I took a screenshot of it

Resolution: 1152x864

Whats even odder is that Episodes 1-3 of this anime worked fine when full screened. Episodes 4 and on are giving me this trouble though.

To recap:
1) Works great when not full screened on all episodes
2) Worked fine in all situations episodes 1-3
3) Doubled subtitles when in full screen on Episodes 4+

One last thing, the file type is .mkv, and the anime is subbed by [GG]

Thanks in advance

What it means is that there are two programs running the subs at the same time. Apart from MPC, probably VobSub. You have that installed at all?

It looks like you have a hardsub and a softsub working together. If there is a video filter icon in your system tray, does it give you an option to disable subtitles?

Silly me, Yah... there were two filters down there operating. Disabling one fixed it. Thanks.
