Defrag Program

My question is simple: What defrag program is the "best"? I've been using O&O for a while, but I've heard Diskeeper is good. Many other programs have been mentioned also. Or am I just fooling myself and I should just use Microsoft's built in one?

If you're using O&O right now, definitely don't go back to the windows native version unless you want to pull out your hair at the roots.

I was actually going to suggest O&O, so I don't have anything else. >_>

I'm actually using O&O because Cam told me to use it, of all reasons.

I mean, his firetruck statements got me to use Firefox, so lolcake

VoptXP (http://www.vopt.com/) claims to be the fastest and I must say is the fastest! and it only weights less than 10 mb and is what I have been using for the last 2 years. Imagine 40gb in 5 minutes!!!. Auslogic Defrag is almost just as fast and is also free, less than 5 mb. Avoid those bloated suites like norton and Diskeeper. I used to use diskeeper though but I didnt need all those extra crap schedulers and I didnt want that "Set it and forget it" app runing it the background..

it's not because it's faster that he does the job better than the others...

I use O&O too and I really like it, but I'm not an expert to say if it's the best or not...

Just curious: what makes a defragmenter program better than another? What does a better program do that, say, Windows's built-in one doesn't?
