Where Do I Put My Thread?
The computing forums probably have the most thread moves out of any forums. There has always been a bit of confusion on where threads go.
Basically, if you are asking for help fixing a problem, put it in the Help Desk. If you want to talk about new hardware, for example, discuss MP3 players or compare cable modems, that goes into the Hardware forum. Additionally, if you want suggestions (i.e., you're building a new computer and want cooling solutions), that goes here. But, remember, if it is a problem you need a solution for, go with Help Desk. Same for the Software forum. If you want to compare OSes or torrent programs, that goes here. If you need help cleaning up spyware or if you are having an issue running a game, that goes in Help Desk. Thanks all.  |
