Looking for drivers for Umax: Astra 610P (scanner)
After getting Windows XP as my OS I can't install the drivers for my scanner, UMAX; Astra 610P.
Does anyone know where I can find them? Thanks in advance.

You don't have to install any drivers. XP has them built in. Noticed this years ago when I put XP on my parent's system and they too have this exact scanner. Just go to the Control Panel, Scanners and Cameras, Add an imaging device, and select it from the menu in there. Haven't had a single problem with it.

What program do you use when scanning? VistaScan, which follows on the installation CD?

Nope, just directly from that Scanners and Cameras page. Right click on the Umax Astra 610P, select Scan. Couldn't be more painless.
