FEMA Camps and Coffins?

Well, I saw this video on Youtube earlier today on some Conspiracy Theory forum (now keep in mind I only found this by accident through Google search), I first saw this thinking "It's just a bunch of crazies who are using the current situations and over exaggerating the outcome", but being curious I decided to delve a bit deeper into the matter.

First I found an article about the supposed 'plastic coffins', and second I found an article about the FEMA Concentartion-eque Camps; I say esque because I'm not completely aware of the true purpose, but Conspiracy theorist believe that they're for getting rid of a ton of Americans.

The reason I'm posting this here is because I don't know very much about politics and am curious about this as I don't know what to believe. Personally I'm veering on the idea that this is all completely exaggerated, but again I don't know what to believe as I don't know very much about politics. Any thoughts?

About the coffins: I'm not sure why I should care about thousands of plastic bins. I mean, even in an event of natural disaster (like maybe Katrina), you're going to have corpses. Whether or not those Rubbermaid bins are for dead people, who knows. But I would understand it.

It seems very likely that someone who would kill hundreds of thousands of dissenters would also find a bulldozer and an open field much more convenient than individual coffins.


Also, some of those "FEMA Concentration Camps" ended up just being normal prisons.
Unsurprisingly, truth is not stranger than fiction.

I really do wonder about the mindset that sees plastic bins at a construction site and automatically leaps to the conclusion that their purpose is storing the corpses of dissidents.

Someone probably heard that these things were related to burying the dead, and forgot every other relevant detail.

These things are burial vaults, intended to enclose caskets so the ground doesn't cave in after grandma's rotted away. There is nothing remarkable about them. A product that is supposed to last through tough conditions for hundreds of years, like these, have a long shelf life. It makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint to make a large quantity of them at once, especially considering the fact that people keep dying.

Any forays outside the mainstream is bound to lead into the land of radical conspiracy theories. Without a understanding of history as a basis of thought the only thing you're going to gain is a massive dose of paranoia.

Who doesn't love a good conspiracy theory though?

The end result according to Greer is that a scapegoat is invented. Which provides clues to how the future will unfold. For the right it is/was socialists/communists, to the left it's mostly George W. Bush. To that extent Dubya has had a greater effect on the American left, then he ever will on the political right.
