Your haven.
Where do you go for reprieve when you feel overwhelmed?
There's this old ass cemetary by where I live with a lot of interesting mausoleums. It's usually very quiet and empty there, so it's a great place to get away from the noise of the world. |

I don't have a single specific haven. Anywhere quiet with no or few people works for me. Bookstores and libraries are good as well as a nearby lake that is very quiet and has a lot of wildlife. The lake is my personal favorite thinking place.

There is NOWHERE i can go here in Sydney that doesn't require a two hour drive or a four hour train/bus ride where I can relax.
My room is the only place where I can truly relax. |
|
my room is where I get all my peace and tranquility. I can lock my door and ignore everyone and if it gets too loud I turn on my favorite tunes and relax and I also have an aquarium in my room so I often like to stare at the fish

There's a little patio on top of the servery that overlooks the soccer fields. I prefer that corner to myself if I feel overwhelmed at times.

I used to use my room to get away from it all. However, you can't do that in a dormitory since you have to live with someone else (and sometimes they don't have a life). It causes my blood to boil to think that I can't even escape in my own room! If it's after 5 p.m. I will sometimes sneak into my workplace and use that time to get away. However, we hired more people this semester that go to the library to study, so that probably means I won't have that area anymore to hide in. I would hide in the study rooms, but they have windows and you know how hard it is to relax when you know someone could be watching you like an animal in a zoo? I'm on the constant search to find places to relax and daydream. ![]() "Oh, for My sake! Will you people stop nagging me? I'll blow the world up when I'm ready."--Jehova's Blog |

Although I used to go into a corner with a blanket in my hand, I now just go in my room and lay down on my bed.
Quiero ayudar a todos que viven en el mundo...pero empiezo contigo. Can you please listen and tell me what you think? |

Anywhere quiet usually works best for me. There aren't very many areas around my condo where I can relax apart from perhaps the balcony. Even then, I still prefer remaining indoors.

I don't know, my room I guess, but I spend 80+% in there(during the day) when I'm not at college, so I guess you could call it a place to get away, to hide from family at least, especially with my MP3 Player on full blast...
In fact, I would say my room is my getaway place... ![]() Making the world a spoonier place

My room won't count since I'm in here way too frequently, so I actually count my piano in the living room to be more of a getaway place. There, I just let my fingers loose and play my songs with more expression than usual and let stress out through music.

I usally hang around this small tree area near the fields, or watering hole before Spanish hills. Its small, but very soothing during the day. Though, I could do with out the damn mosqitos.
