Mate, I'm really not going to sit here and debate your insipid position concerning t-shirts to angst ratio. It's not like we're sitting back and discussing the idiocy of people who wear Che shirts while having no clue who he really was or what he really did, or the latest trends of having Mao on everything. It's a joke t-shirt that people wear as a lark. There's no social commentary there. The Jesus one I can claim the slightest commentary for I guess, as an atheist, but that's not why I own it. I own it because it makes me chuckle. I own a school shootings t-shirt because I think it's ridiculous. I'm not trying to disassemble the structure of society with my cotton-blend brand of fist raising. The thing is that your argument is too simple. Not everyone who owns the shirt is an angsty little bitch. I also have a shirt that says "I wish my grass was emo, so it would cut itself." Does that fight against society? I don't think so. You're overreaching with your belief and you know it.

We could avoid the whole t-shirts issue altogether. We just need to start a global trend... something everyone would wear. All you need are some gloves, some stockings, flippers and a sleeping bag.

Yeah, maybe I'm overgeneralizing and not everyone who owns a joke t-shirt is angsty. But to interpret my statement as an all-encompassing one is a pretty simple way to take something as well. Of course it doesn't mean that everyone that wears those t-shirts is the same. Regardless of the wording I chose, it's just a generalization. Live with it. The fact that you got defensive about it sheds hints that you got offended by the statement and is therefore part of the group I described. Based on what I've seen through personal experience, all the kids wearing those shirts are attention-seeking brats. If you're not one of them, good for you. To get defensive about a generalization only makes it seem like you're actually part of the generalization. Stop taking the internet so seriously.

Notice how he focuses on something that has nothing to do with the topic because he seriously got owned in the rest of my replies. Predictable? Yes. Idiotic? Yes. Denicalis? Yes.

Spike, you're still placing all people who wear these shirts into a stereotyped category and automatically judging them based on what they wear. It doesn't matter if you think there can be exceptions, because you're probably convinced that you'd never personally meet an exception. I also doubt you think Denicalis is an exception because you already called him angsty in an earlier post without any provication. You talk the talk but don't walk the walk, so shut the fuck up.

But if they're wearing a shirt that says he'd kill Jesus, you might want to take the time to sit back and consider the possibility of it being tongue and cheek, or just pure amusement.
I mean I guess it boils down to whether you're wearing the shirt to piss people off, or to make people with a similar sense of humor laugh. Either way, there'll still be more people offended by the shirt than who will find it funny.

Personaly I wouldn't wear any of the shirts on the site. Even though I have shirts that do have sayings on them (My personal favorites are "Mad Cow burgers" and "I beat the smart kids.") but those shirts do nothing for me. They're to....how do I say it....out there and a little stupid if you ask me. Even though I find some of them funny (The Hittler Pilsbury dough boy one's funny so is the "You Can't Have Manslaughter Without Laughter" one.)....I just can't see myself wearing any of those though....I'm not that kind of person. Besides, as was stated before....most of the shirts their are made for the mid/late teens - adult male crowd so...that could have something to do with it.

But as for seeing anyone wearing the shirts. I wouldn't be offended. It's their choice to wear the shirt in the first place. And if they just wanted to wear it to get a rise out of people....then good for them....their choice.

Me Personally, I don't like wearing clothing with sayings on them. I like blank, different colored (usually solid) shirts. I don't like the idea of being a billboard for a message or company, and I also don't like the idea of a person stopping to look at what my shirt says. I suppose the shirt would have to say something I "really" feel, and it would have to be short and sweet. I used to have a shirt that said "Quit Work Make Music" but I can't seem to find it.

I don't mind people who wear shirts with slogans or logos on them. I've never seen anyone wear the shirts on that site, but if I did, it'd be a good laugh. My whole thing is life is pretty much pointless, so might as well laugh at everything and anything that can go wrong. If anyone has a problem with what I say or do, I'd like to see them try and stop me. Seriously. :P I respect anyone who can wear one of those shirts, as long as they're not blaring obvious about it.

I wouldn't wear any of those shirts just because they really aren't my style, but they are the type of shirt that I would stop to look at in the mall just to have a laugh. it's usually pretty amusing to see what they come up with, but it's not something that I'd spend money on unless there was some obscure memory tied in to whatever joke happens to be there.

Those shirts are so stupid. I hope whoever gets one of those gets their assed beat when they step outside.

Would I wear one? Probably not. It's not exactly something I would wear but I do think a bunch of those are funny as hell. I've seen kids wearing them and no one ever got their "assed beat" by wearing them. Just some weird stares here and there.
SURPRISE.

Oh? Tell me, what would you put on one if these are so stupid?

Anything could be considered offensive. Like, a shirt that read, 'Pink fluffy bunnies'. Bunnies! Bunnies reproduce. Reproduction is something that happens when you have sex. People wear shirts with the Confederate flag on them at my school and most of them know they're being offensive, but they do it anyways. What's wrong with wearing one of the ones in the link?
But to answer your question, why the hell not. As long as it's not stupid like, 'Hrhrhr I'm smart ur dumb' or something that sounds like it came from Daria.
Now that's Progressive!

The "I beat cancer (and by cancer I mean children)" one is actually pretty funny, in my opinion, just because it's so clearly false. I guess the same can be said for the majority of these shirts.

Sure, they're "politically incorrect", but nobody would wear a shirt saying they kill kids and be serious...right?

Actually--you strayed from the topic--Would you wear these t-shirts--after Denicalis answered that yes, he would--since he owned some of them.

I wouldn't wear any of those shirts simply because they aren't my style of humor. I like the ones that look innocent, then hit you with the punch line.

For example, I had this:

"If you love something, let it go free.
If it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it."

YEAH!

Hah! Lek, as always, I love your sense of humour. That's fantastic. Personally, I'd have tossed a picture of Jesse Ventura in Predator on it for good measure.

I think a good 95% of them are just the kind that you'd get total assholes wearing and attention seekers and the like.

there are 2 or 3 good ones though

I dig the t-shirts, but I don't see anything that I really like. It isn't the offensive factor, but rather, they just don't reflect my attitude. I wear a shirt that says "Girls Girls Girls" across the top, "Red Light District, Amsterdam" on the bottom, and a naked lady poll dancing in the middle. Full nudity, and I wear it at work. I think it is a great shirt, and yes, I love the Red Light District. I don't care about offending people, but rather I need to wear what really expresses my taste.

I have a number of t-shirts from BOffensive.com that are better than this.

In particular - "Your Girlfriend, My Whore" and "Your Girlfriend Loves Black Cock"

Funny thing, that happened to me once. Wasn't because I was wearing the Cancer is Contagious shirt though...

Interesting factoid about the School Shootings shirt: It's original intention, from what I've gathered, was to provide another form of funding to the victims and their families.
