Not all women are like that (definitely not), but it's girls like her that make me wonder how men can stand those kinds of women.

Anyway, I honestly don't see why men can't do a lot of the things that women do to their male friends. It could be because men get this bad reputation for always wanting sex, which I don't believe is true for all men, but I know a lot of women that think that all men are that way (yet they all have boyfriends too).
Then your friend is far too protective and will lose what she 'loves' too early. She will drive her man crazy and soon will feel as if she is trying to control him. Me, I never want a girl with some type of controlling power. A lot of girls that I've met in the past like to think they have authority.

Men may be after sex, but you can't deny girls are like that too. In fact, the girl I'm dating to this date gets wetter than an ice rink if I so much as touch her arm. There are the extenses of flirting, where people may be close friends but people assume they are flirting. Has happened to me before (unfortunately I got dumped) but I wasn't flirting. I absolutely love joking around with people and making an ass of myself while they still know that in the end I'm a nice person. That's who I am and I will not change my views for anybody. Frankly if anyone changes for someone else needs to rebuild their conscience and get rid of whoever their dating. Stat.

They've been together for over a year. I think it's because it's their first relationship ever (neither one has ever dated before they met one anothre) either that or it's because he is a Psychology major and needs the practice. My friend is cool, but seriously when it comes to her boyfriend she's a total monopoly on his time.

I definitely agree that girls are like that too. I have a lot of female friends that actually initiate the sexual encounters. I know of relationships that sadly ended because the guy loved to joke around with female friends (which I think it's wrong that someone would consider that to be a reason to dump someone). Then again, I know women who dump men b/c they are not #1 on their Myspace friend's thing.
