Clinton Campaign makes Obama "Blacker"

Read it here - courtesy of Wired.com

Now, I can tell that Hillary's campaign focus has changed. It's very obvious that she's been hitting Barack with the "experience" bat quite a bit lately - almost in an animalistic and defensive fashion. But do you really think she would use subliminal messages to affect our subconscious beliefs? I'm skeptical, but a trapped animal will try anything to save it's own hide.

If this is true, politics has reached a new low.

Politics hasn't reached a new low -- it's always been there, you just haven't noticed it.

And even though it's fucked up in a way, it's sound political strategy.

But why is this okay? That just doesn't make sense. Are you saying that racism has existed in politics in such an obvious way or are you talking about the obviously high economic requirements to run for president?

So that's what Hillary needed the $5 million of her own money for!

I don't know. Old people are the only demographic that are voting for Hillary that aren't voting for Obama. And old people are already racist. I don't think it's necessary for the Clinton campaign to waste their money on something like this. They're already supported by the racists either way. Racists don't go easy on black people just because they don't look as black as other black people.

It's not politically correct, no, but it's the way you play the game. Racism, for at least the rest of our lifetimes, will always be a component in politics.

And ageism is okay?! Not all older people are racists, just like not all younger people are stupid and inexperienced! If I wouldn't vote for Obama, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm a racist, and if I wouldn't vote for Clinton, I don't think it makes me sexist, either - although unconscious biases may affect my behaviour, true.

Yes, the system is and always has been messed up, and you obviously have to have loads of money to run for president. That's the same for Obama, though, and I don't hear anyone complaining about that.

its a shame that whenever some people cant get to their goals they always start mudthrowing the most obvious and stupid things. that's how racism is born in the first place IMHO.

if you can't win the conversation by debate, lets all start bashing about how someone looks like, his sexual preference, etc.

pathetic imho.

The elderly are much more likely to vote against somebody based on their race than younger demographics. They're just products of their times. My grandparents used to call stray dogs niggers and picanninnies, but my grandpa is a registered democrat and is a deacon for a congregation which is 1/3 black.

I haven't been around them recently to get a sense of who they're voting for, but if they're not voting for Barack because he's black I wouldn't be particularly surprised.
