The whole trailer was supposed to be real-time which those screenshots are from but somehow I doubt it.

Correction, all of the trailer was real-time save for one scene.

I'm in doubt on whether those are realtime or not, but man, if they are, that would be obscene.

It looks REALLY action-oriented... Hope they don't forget about their roots, damn it!

DAMN! This looks really good. Better tha the tech demo. But this multiple games stuff is just another cash cow for Square. I'm sure none of the other games besides the real FFXIII will be any good.

And yeah, she does resemble Ashe more than Yuna. Regardless, I like her instantly.

The shot with the battle commands is interesting. The camera angle is much more cinematic and than a normal FF battle. I wonder if this will influence the battle system or if this is just for show.

I'll say it again: Reaction Commands.

Either that, or a variation. It's the most logical thing to do. It would look pretty stupid to have these photorealistic characters standing still, waiting to take turns at each other. I wholeheartedly welcome a more fluid, action-packed battle system.

Wait, they've already announced four hundred thousand spin-off games for it? Excellent, Square. Excellent. Bring on the Final Fantasy XIII board game and novelty drinking cup! The screens remind me of Star Ocean, though. Which is good!

From 1up: That's not all for the latest Final Fantasy sequel, apparently. Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy VII helmer Tetsuya Nomura is directing Final Fantasy Versus XIII for the PS3. What the heck is Nomura up to? Square Enix describes their direction for the "overall title" of Final Fantasy XIII as Latin phrase "Fabulla Nova Crystalis," and says their intentions are similar to the approach taken with the Final Fantasy VII compilation.

So where's the FF Versus XIII logo?

Wow, those images are great. Not so sure I'm liking the whole multiple game thing...XII isn't even out here yet and XIII is already gonna have 3 games :/ But...I won't complain just yet...still loving those images.
