[Multiplatform] Official Final Fantasy XIII Thread

Man, those graphics are impressive. But 3 titles already announced for 13, that's rather overkill. This pretty much throws out all my excitement for 12. May as well just save up for the PS3 and the two 13 titles for it.

I doubt if realtime.

I sorely hope that the one battle screenshot was real-time, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that it's not. Hey, you've gotta have something to keep you hoping.

I'm pretty surprised that Square's already going out on a limb and shoving out a prequel and a sequel before the game's even come out. I'm not sure what to make of it at the moment, especially since we know nothing at all about the plot.

According IGN and people who were actually there it's realtime.

It's actually just FFXIII. And judging from the looks of things, well, holy crap. Some of those things don't even look real-time.

probably like FFXII is with FF tactic advance, same world but totally different story (but huh? they say different world ... I doN,t know >.>)

yeah I'm wrong but is not look on realtime action,is by command and when choosing action will show action like on trailer.is there one agree with me

Looks like some sort of action-oriented minigame to me. I doubt the main game would have the displays/menus shown here.

So, what's FF12 anyway?

This is a pretty poor move if they want people to still give a damn about FF12 over here in the states... I suppose this announcement was more geared towards the Japanese, but still... My mind is working overtime on what FF13 could be and at this moment I couldn't care less about 12.

Either way... Should be interesting to see what they can pull off with this clearly action-oriented sequel.

Nice, the thanks for the link RYU. Definitely appears to be real time, also looks like the new heroine has some sort of power to stop time. Unless that was a magic skill from the battle.

I was thinking that too, but doesn't Stop normally affect just a one enemy? Unless it's a new thing they're doing, where magic affects the whole battle field/screen...

It could be a powered-up Stop, like Stopra or Stopga. Who knows?

I think that greenry place is in realtime.
