Are you kidding? Item Getter is a fantastic title! Unlike some games (lookin' at you, "Tetris"), you know exactly what this one is all about! You don't have to play it, all the explanation you need is right there on the box. See, there are some items and your job is to get them! If you're not getting items, then you've completely screwed it up.

Could you imagine how great it would be if more games were so forthright? We'd have awesome titles like Car Drivin', Shape Piler, Gun Gunner and Man Puncher.

So you can see why Item Getter will clearly be the greatest game of 2008. I'm gonna order five copies so I can get five times as many items as you guys. I will be the Getting Champion.

Slap the right branding on this game, and they could sell a million copies. Spongebob Squarepants Item Getter for the kids, Red Shoe Diaries Item Getter for the adults. Let's not forget about Item Getter Crusade and Item Getter Jihad; just don't try to play those two together.

Shouldn't the adult one be something more like The Sopranos Item Getter?

This is the kind of game that I can only see becoming successful with the rich-as-fuck-families-with-six-asocial-nerdy-kids-in-the-basement demographic.

In spending to much time watching mecha animu, I keep thinking of this game having items with getter on them.
"GETTER AXE"
"GETTER SCYTHE"
"GETTER TOMAHAWK"
"GETTER BEAM"
and to spice up normal items
"GETTER APPLE"
"GETTER POTION"
"GETTER GRASS"
the list goes on.

And it'd be required to listen to Getter Robo's theme song as you get items
"GET GET, GETTER GET"
and have it loop endlessly.

Now this sounds like my kinda game.
