Rainbow Six: Vegas
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3148593
Now this is what I call next-gen graphics. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Oh hell yeah. That looks incredible. Finally going to make buying a 360 worth it.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Next up: Rainbow Six: Laundromat and Rainbow Six: Department of Motor Vehicles.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Ubisoft killed Rainbow 6.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Too bad no ones learned theres a difference between a screenshot from a target video, and the real game when it hits rushed out 2 months from now.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Oh, I think I'll wait for actual gameplay screens to be released before I start calling this the next holy grail of graphics.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
UbiSoft's the king of releasing screenshots.
"New Tom Clancy 'insert name here' screens!" *Photograph of some guy eating from a can of baked beans* FELIPE NO |
Good shit indeed. Kameo looks just as good as that. And Oblivion probably as well. I still haven't got much into RB6 as I have with Splinter Cell though.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Whens oblivion hit?
What ever happened to that ghost recon game that was supposed to be coming out anyway? How ya doing, buddy? |
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter - comes out on the 9th in the US, and on the 17th in the EU. As for the disbelief in the legitimacy of those shots, well, that's entirely up to you, but I think it's rather absurd to think that the 360 doesn't have the capabilities to produce such visuals. Here's another picture of RS:V And, just for kicks, some scans of Brothers In Arms 3 (I apologize if posting these violates the TOS). Apparently, the shots of both RS:V and BIA3 are in real-time. EDIT: *cough* Most amazing jew boots

The final game will look better than what is shown in the screenshots. An obvious contrast between this generation and the last is that screenshots are largely unrepresentative of how the game actually appears in motion.
Can you imagine how HALO 2 will look. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Contrary to popular opinion, HALO 2 has not been released yet.

Im not saying that 360 isnt capable of such power, im just saying that theyll just slack off toward the end and dumb down the visuals, just like theyre doing oblivion.

Too bad they didn't Akira. It is called not having shadows on ALL objects. Shadows are still going to be on characters and probably houses and trees. Doesn't mean the graphical quality is gone.
And no action game will ever be the size of Oblivion so I don't think they have to worry. And you have to 360 games in motion anyway. I don't know if you have one yet, but it's so true. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |

Alot of screenshots/artworks over here. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
That is all real-time. Believe it. But why do I have to have a Korean on my team. I'll probably just shoot him at the beginning of each mission. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
How ya doing, buddy? |
Wel those screens were n a medium end PC. I am about 95% sure on that. Doesn't matter though because I will have it in my hands on the 21st.
Oh and I believe it Megalith. I mean it is Ubisoft. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Im gonna grab it on release. I know its gonna be my life regardless of how it looks.
Back on note though, the screens seem to be doint what alot of 360 games are doing. They use low poly models and throw in nice touches like motion blur, and lighting effects, alot like PDZ, that makes up for it. I was speaking idiomatically. |

Why does this look good. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
one word "awesome". I like how this one plays out, it is better than the previous one (thank god) and it also does the whole, first person, third person idea which is nice. I like the look and the screens i have seen prove to me nothing more than perfection. But what about multiplayer? Anyone heard how good that is going to be? That to me is a major factor in wither i buy RS3:Vegas or not. Someone care to shed some light for me?
FELIPE NO |
As it's a 360 game, are Ubisoft going to dumb it down and turn it into a mindless arcade shooter like how they fucked up GRAW?
I was looking forward to that so much until they made the enemy soldiers even more fluorescent than in Battlefield 2. Sure the graphics are nice but when's someone gonna put some effort into the AI and make a game that requires some thought? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Meh, I prefer shooting at people to shooting at day-glo outlines. I felt all the tension of Ghost Recon had been lost in GRAW.
