My 360 is just a week old and I haven't had problems after the update. So I guess it's the first batch that's affected.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
That's what I was implying.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Mine is 1st gen. but the only problem I've had is when I wouldn't play anything on my Live! account for like a month (when I was away at school or something) and when I tried to logon it would freeze. But that problem went away after the first update...and no problems after that.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
We're talking about generations in terms of manufacturing cycles, not 360s with new features or anything. Microsoft has no reason to announce the former.
How ya doing, buddy? |

Well, my Ghost Recon is now unplayable thanks to that Live Update.
Not only is it impossible to finish mission 9, but it freezes when I go to multiplayer. And this is my second copy of the game. Nice job Microsoft. You now have the record of the most horrible console launch ever. And by launch I mean first 5 months. AND AS I TYPE THIS MY BROTHER JUST GOT STUCK ON A WALL IN GHOST RECON AND CAN'T GET OFF IT. Holy shit. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
How may we be able to assist you.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |

But probably not. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This may sound Newbish but my friend wants me to help him purchase an Xbox 360 and we know what the Core Pack comes with but we were looking at online retailers and we couldn't find exactly what the Premium Package came with... Does it come with Two Controllers? And does it have a hook up in the back so you can play Online (Ethernet Port) or do you need WiFi?
I didn't wanna make a new Thread seeing as theres one right here and there seems to be discussion of the system here so yeah... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Only one wireless, both have a port, but maybe the premium only has the cable included- not sure on that. The wifi, as an extra, just plugs into a usb port.

Well, I played PGR3 for the first time today. It should have been called PGR 1.5.
Everything just looks dumbed down in comparison to PGR2. I mean, look at the menus. What the hell even happened. I also noticed that the graphics were terrible, other than the gimmicky blur effect, which made walking around the garbage kind of cool for about 2 seconds. The controls seem to be a bit better, but that's about it. I was speaking idiomatically. |

Gotta feel bad for those who did preorder and didn't get it- I walk into CCity and I see that green sticker on the box- wow. FELIPE NO |

Toslink to Toslink Optical Cable Extender
http://www.ruby-electronics.com/stor...Cable_Extender "...If your digital optical cable is not long enough for your need, you can either purchase a new longer cable, or you can use this extender to add another shorter cable to your original cable to extend its reach." http://ruby-electronics.com/ftproot/pro_gold_ext-a.jpg I guess you would need something like that to extend the optical cable. Hmmm your not talking about the red/white (you say reach, so...)cables are you?- cause those won't give you the 5.1. But these are cheap enough: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search The one I got at the store had two so all you would are two extra composite cables. Most amazing jew boots

You might be able to move your 360 closer to your DVD player.
But that may require effort. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Saw this car game on a 360 stand the other day. Don't know what title it was... But as a 3d entusiast my eyes honestly hurt at the overfogged(yeah I just made up a word to describe the horrid way it was blurred by intent it seems even!) graphics I'd probably get a headache playing it.

Has anyone heard more about the new update and it's ability to turn the Xbox into a very expensive brick? (Yes, we've all heard about Xbrick, Megalith, you can stop now sweety)
I'm goin to buy Oblivion today, but it really would be great if me turning on the console renders it useless... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Even if it does go kaput, look at this way, under warranty you can just get yourself a brand new shiny one without dents in it unlike your old 360 which you kicked and punched because it stopped working

Burnout Revenge I think. Not sure though just saw the racing not the title.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Overfogged? Are you talking about extreme bloom lighting? Burnout Revenge has some serious blooming going on in some of the stages (the Asian cities, for example), so maybe that's what you saw.
Blooming though looks nice in that game, and it's not as excessive and eye sore inducing as it was in say, Fable, or something. FELIPE NO |
I just put down a few hours in PGR 3 as well as PDZ for the past few weeks on the XBOX360, and come back disappointed; leading to the return of the XBOX.
I have to state that although the graphics in PGR3 and PDZ are much more higher resolution than that of previous console releases, the performance of the XBOX360 just disappoints for the price budget set for the console and each individual game to buy. I bought a 7800GTX for a fraction of the XBOX360 system price as well as Call of Duty 2 (which effectively looks much smoother on the computer) for only $30. Meanwhile, Perfect Dark has about the same graphical intrigue as a level from FarCry, added in with some motion blurring. Such a high system price, and sub-par game dynamics cannot constitute the superiority of the XBOX360. And, going into XboxLive, Why the hell do I have to pay money to put a goddamn wallpaper on my XBOX background? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
Love it.

I just spent a few hours at my local astore playing some new basketball game for the 360 by EA. It's funny how my local stores manage to have every fucking sports title in the world, and nothing else.
I couldn't even find the title screen. I definitely wasn't impressed by whatever it was. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
He's saying you can put your own pictures as your background for free by simply connecting your 360 to your computer and importing your picture from there.

Oh and the Battlefield 2 demo came out- it's okay. For some reason tanks catch on fire when they hit lightposts. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
