F.E.A.R Slowdown

I'm running an ASUS G1S, with 2 gigs of ram, core 2 duo, and geforce 8600m GT.

Sounds good right?

When I start up the game, it is flawless (most things on MAX, some on MED, 2x AA, 4XAF). Everything is smooth and precise, not a bit of lag or choppiness. The more I play, the slower it gets, to the point where every mouse slide is filled with lag. The funny thing is, I turn down the settings to MINIMUM and the problem doesn't go away.

What could this be? and how can I fix it?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Dual core optimizers?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

All I'm finding are AMD Dual Core optimizers =(

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
