So, who forgot?

DST? Who actually forgot about it that had to be somewhere this morning? I have always been reminded to set my clocks foward(or back) and have never forgotten, but I'm sure some of you have. Tell me stories.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I haven't per say, but I remember growing up that half the time my Middle and High schools wouldn't change the clock for months. I think at times they didn't change it until the end of the semester, and most of the time it seems like 'Why bother? You have already waited THIS long. If you wait a few more months, then it will be accurate again'.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Wait, so I have to set my clock an hour back now?

Stupid DST, I completely forgot about it. I don't really get the whole DST concept, it's pretty silly IMO.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Can someone actually explain DST to me? I never get the slightest idea about daylight-saving time at all.

I was speaking idiomatically.

It's when you move your clock one hour forward (We in Europe do it the last sunday in March, I believe Americans do it the second sunday in March). The reason I've heard is to "better utilize the light hours of the day". I think it's stupid, it's extremely depressing to lose one hour

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

That's idiotically stupid. Not all people live in North Pole or South Pole.

I like how my work didn't open for over an hour because my boss (and a few other people) failed to follow DST.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Daylight savings time was originally proposed by Benjamin Franklin in order to make life easier on farmers, whose schedules were based on the sun, and not arbitrary human time-keeping.

We're no longer an agricultural society, so the reason for DST's existence is no longer valid... and yet we keep it anyways.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Daylight Savings was always a godsend for me as a kid, as the night when the clocks moved back would mean I'd get an extra hour in bed. Best night of the entire year. School were always somewhat fanatical about making everyone get up at six thirty sharp.

Also, this map indicates there are isolated areas which don't use DST in North America. A little odd.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Now they claim it's for the benefit of the entertainment industry, or something like that. Make everyone burn up all the daylight hours on work, so the entertainment venues have more night to play with.

How ya doing, buddy?
