New PC monitor

Well my PC monitor just fried on me >.> so I'll be shopping for a new one soon. I had a viewsonic vx922, so with a new monitor I'll finally jump into the widescreen format.

Do you guys recommend any specify monitor? or brand? Since I'm a little short on money and don't have that big of a space, I'll probably go for a 21 or 22 inches screen.

I want to know first what's better between 16:9 and 16:10. Like I see some screen with a native resolution of 1920x1080 and some of 1680 x 1050. I'm not sure what's best for gaming or in general.

So basically I want some recommendation of good brands for a 22inches pc monitor with a budget of 200-250$can.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well i think that this two will be as per your requirement. This display changed in the past few year.It is in your budget. As you have not mentioned about company. Still i am suggesting you to purchase one from this if you like.

22" Lenovo ThinkVision L2251p VGA, DisplayPort
Widescreen LCD Monitor (Business Black)
$241.44

Hanns-G Hi-221DPB 22-inch

Hanns-G is a very good budget brand and will perform just fine for most folks. What kind of video card do you have? 1920x1200 gaming is very pretty (with the added benefit of being capable of displaying 1080p content) but requires a little more oomph to play smoothly. I'd recommend looking through this thread based on what kind of use you're wanting to get out of it -- scroll down for their recommendations grouped by use. Some of the monitors there will have dropped in price a good deal by now.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
