Bigblah draws animu
This one's a birthday gift for someone who's drawn quite a few awesome pictures for my fellow comrades in Team RTFO (GFF ragnarok online guild), and I thought a picture would be an excellent reciprocation.
Notes: 1. This is my second serious attempt ever at drawing an anime-style character (or any character, even), the first one being eyeballed off a fansub freeze frame. This one's done from scratch, without any reference. 2. It's completely done in mspaint with a mouse, and using only the paintbrush tool. Left click to paint, right click to erase. I'm a masochist. 3. I suck at drawing hands. 4. It looks better when viewed from a distance! And stop laughing at the fact that I added antennae. You try drawing those in mspaint. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
hey dude. I don't think it's bad at all. Better than what I can do using the computer!
later. Most amazing jew boots |
I think its alright. How to draw effectively in MSpaint is actually very similar to the way you paint Oekaki. A lot depended upon the clever use of guidelines and curve tools and even differentiating color erasers (yes, that's a MSpaint feature). Give the curve tools in MSPaint a spin, I am sure you’ll find it useful. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Haha, the right click action for the eraser tool. I never knew it did that.
By the way, here's my aforementioned first attempt: Much neater here, since I had a reference (Fafal from Scrapped Princess). The character in my first post is an original creation... sort of =p I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Yum. Antennae.
I was speaking idiomatically.

This is in fact some pretty awesome stuff. I like drawings like these much more than this ordinary coloured yaoi-like shit. And if you're a fan of Andy Warhol like me, you gonna like this anyway
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
There's nothing wrong with yaoi okay!?!
I mean... good work blah. FELIPE NO |
|
MOAR HAIR = HOTTER PICTURE.
Good job blah. How ya doing, buddy? - What we all do best - |
Imagine what he's capable of doing with pencils.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Not much, actually. I'm currently no good at anatomy and proportions (face is too big, hand is too small, etc). I took a look at your miko picture (the one listed at the very bottom in your thread) and gave up drawing forever.
Then again, at least I can draw silly vehicles. I'll scan some of my earlier pen works (erasing is for wimps!) This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Wow, for first and second drawings those are fantastic! When I look back at my first drawings in middle school, I just feel embarrassed for myself.
More hair is always good. No one can have too much hair in anime. (I also enjoy drawing with pen, especially ballpoint. Take that, pencil wimps!) I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Your artwork style reminds me of those days of Macross ^_^. She's cute though.
