I'm not terribly surprised that "Dance" won. It has a very strong following, for good reason. That and it won a Battle previously. But still a very, very, very narrow win there. Kudos to "TLT" for putting up a strong fight!

I think this might be the best place to announce that, now that SotY is over, I'm going to be stepping down from my post at SotW. I'm still pondering who I'm going to nominate as a replacement (don't want to name any names just yet), but the fact of the matter is I simply don't have the time or the spark to continue doing this. Rather than having CHz repeatedly pester me to get shit done, I think it'd be more productive all around to have someone who can actually remember to make the damn thread every week, add nominations to the queue, etc. etc.

I've had a fucking BLAST helping to run SotW for the past year, and I have discovered music I never would've discovered otherwise. I'm not going to stop paying attention to the contest, I'm still going to listen, but dammit, I'm dragging the whole thing down. >=(

Thanks for sticking with SotW, everyone, even during its rough time around GFF's rough time. LONG LIVE SOTW!

In all seriousness, it's a shame to actually see you go, knowing that you were going to stand down after SotY. I can understand SotW not being one of your priorities anymore, as lord knows it isn't one of mine anymore. At the end of the day we've all got lives. Thanks, buddy.
