SAUS II handles tiebreakers more efficiently than SAUS I. There will be no tiebreaker rounds; the judge in charge of the relevant bracket will not vote on the songs in that bracket unless they must do so in order to break a tie.

In the first post, Pang said that the thread creator doesn't get to vote unless it's to break a tie. Sort of an evolved and refined version of the smelly, ad-hoc way I dealt with some lingering ties in the BDC.

I'd like to point out that this means I'm responsible for tiebreaks on half the threads.

I'm finding that a lot of times the more interesting comment has to do with bashing the losing song. I'm trying to pick quotes about the winning song, but people are funnier when they're mean!

Also, the recent hiccup in the thread posting schedule is my fault. I kinda got lolbanned, and then when the lolban expired, I came down with food poisoning. Today's the first day I've been able to go to GFF since Monday.

Okay, all votes for Round 1 are in and the bracket graphic's up to date. A lot of interesting results in terms of... extremely vocal minorities, I suppose.

I'd like to say, I'm thrilled with the lack of dropoff now that we're midway through the third round. We're still seeing a pretty consistent amount of votes between now and... well, about halfway through the first round. Some dropoff is to be expected, but I think it's safe to say that SAUS I's issue of "lol only 8 people were voting by the end" is being avoided.

Tomorrow afternoon I will start making threads, and hopefully finish by the time I have to go to work. =o

Okay, Round 2 is complete and the graphic bracket is updated for the curious.
