For having diss #30. You win your name written in caps with an exclamation point afterwards for your effort! Twice!

(and just think...30 disses is about twice as many votes that your average SAUS pairing has...What does that really say about people's attitudes towards this thing?)

It's true, SAUS could use a little more participation! We should take an example from your event, which is seeing such massive enthusiasm and — oh

oh dear

Project: The Top 500 VGM Releases of All-Time : Soundtrack Central Forums

Your point?

Sorry to say, my enthusiasm for this thing died about 5 minutes into it. Might I suggest ditching the "OMFG! VARIETY" thing, which wasn't around last year? Since, you know, wouldn't it be more fun to have people who are already going to whine about things whine about them after they're in the contest than before?

Your soundtrack-centered project is popular... on a website named Soundtrack Central. That certainly showed me up!

What is your particular objection to variety as a concept, Goldfish? Don't you see the inherent problem in having 256 tracks of all the same kind of thing? I mean, it's fine for you and your hilariously narrow tastes, but for everybody else? I didn't pull this guideline purely out of my ass, it's based on a persistent and common complaint from last year. Everybody's Iron-Maidened out already, thanks.

I am open to suggestions, of course! But if I'm going to pander to somebody, it ain't gonna be you.

I don't think variety was an issue last year, minus the stipulation. People who think there was too much metal in last year's contest probably just have an issue with the stuff to begin with (oh um...like you?) It was there, but I don't recall it outnumbering anything in sheer numbers either. Heh, as bad as Orion can be, at least he doesn't let his opinion get in the way when he's actually running one of these damn things...only during the voting/commenting process.

As for MY project...If people want to pay more attention to the fact they can't nominate Duck Hunt without drawing suspicion than the actual project, their loss...It's interesting that GFF is the only forum involved that's drawn so much as an eye at that. Since the project is simply asking for an opinion and the final list should be pretty indicative of the VGM community's tastes and it's likely that everyone who nominates will have an influence on the final tally, people who don't nominate really can't complain about the final results.

Or maybe it's just that GFF is entirely more aware of your being a vacuous fucking dipshit than these other forums, and as such, much more reticent to take part in anything you're running.

Also, have you already forgotten everyone ripping on your musical tastes last year? That wasn't because you listed metal, it's because you listed ONLY metal.

Give it up, Goldfish. This forum is already well aware what an idiot you are. Stop struggling and just walk away. Pang's tournament has been very well run, things have been on time, and unlike last year, it's been a decent spread of music, even if I don't like all of it.

Or, in other words, if you don't like the rules of tournament, don't bother signing up.

Why you're still whining is beyond me.

Well, that's the thing, Goldfish. Last year you actually had... well, I won't call it a full spectrum, but you mixed up your dual tastes in 80's schlock and hair metal.

This year? ALL HAIR METAL.

Well geez, who could have foreseen any objection there.

And then, when you get complaints? WRESTLING THEMES.

WHERE IS THIS HOSTILITY COMING FROM, GOLDFISH?

WHY ARE THINGS NOT GOING YOUR WAY??

This whole argument would have died quietly if you hadn't thrown a hissyfit over a few disses which (mostly) derived from blind link trickery.

Plus you hate fucking Duck Hunt for some reason, what a cunt

(and, please, do not accuse me of bias. I hate a majority of the music in this thing but I don't interfere unless it's obviously beyond the pale. Even MERSENNE had the good sense to abandon his classicist habits for a track or two)

Yeah, he seems to believe that someone liking the music from Duck Hunt can only be from jokeland.
