Well, February is almost upon us again, good GFF'ers. February -- the month of Black history love~ And what else to get the ball rolling than to break a few hearts, eh?

Please enjoy what remains of the event! Do NOT PM me asking to sign up late like last year. A one month window is plenty of time. Any PMs regarding late sign ups will be ignored like penile enlargement e-mails~

Now! For details and rules. First off, I'll lay down the guidelines for signing up...:
1) You MUST be level 10 or higher (postcount). This sounds a little odd, but I don't want to see a bunch of level 1 newbies jumping into here that won't be around in a few weeks. This is intended for active members of the community. O'course, there is an exception or two to every rule! Due to the board resetting itself this past year, past poster data was lost. A few oldbie posters are returning bit by bit. They are eligible if others recognize them as people who were indeed posters some time ago. If you are under level 10, don't think of spam-posting from your present spot up to the minimum level -- I'm sure the mods will cut you down.

2) In order to sign up, you post on this thread saying "sign me up" or something to that effect! Once sign-ups close, that is that. Last year there was a crash that fucked things up, and everyone had trouble coming back (for some reason). I'd rather not get a PM from someone asking to join when sign-ups have been closed for three weeks. Your messages WILL be ignored.

Even prior to sign-up closing, I will ignore any PMs about signing up. You post here and here alone. Once this thread is locked shut, then you're out of luck!

Now for the details! The Truth Hurts goes like this:

• You sign up on this thread
• I put you into a designated timeslot/rotation
• Once it's your turn, I will PM you along with your thread's URL
• The clock is started! People have three days to ask you questions
• Once the three days have passed, I will post on the thread saying "no more questions." Following this, the "victim" of the thread is given three more days to answer the questions left. If he fails to answer the remaining questions before the next three day rotation ends, I will lock the thread.
• IF YOUR THREAD IS LOCKED: PM me once you have all your questions answered or you are ready to answer them. I will unlock it and allow you to do so before closing it again.

Okay, so that's the basic skeleton structure of this event. Now on to rules!
1) Let's call the person being questioned in the thread the "victim" like before (for simplicity!) The victim can be asked questions from ANYONE. You do not need to be signed up to ask questions!

Sign-up is ONLY if you want to be questioned!

Let's say that the victim is a newer guy that doesn't know many people, but he shares a rotation with another victim that everyone knows and loves. Person A asks TEN questions of the first victim. He can ask the other victim, the popular one, TEN questions as well. Victim 1 will have less work to do on answering most definitely. But there is no cap on the total number of quizzers a victim can have. Victim 2, the popular dude, could have half the board ask him questions, as long as each person poses ten questions maximum per victim.

2) So yeah. Ten questions. This is the maximum. I know from experience that thinking up ten questions is difficult! '~' Feel free to just dabble into that amount however you need... Or even post half at some point and the latter half later on once you have 'em figured out.

3) Questions substance is important! There are only so many things you can ask someone... But bear a few things in mind:

• There are no tangible rules on question content! It's no-holds-barred. They can be as personal as you want~
• Actually... There are some minute restrictions on question content... What the hell is Gech talkin' about? Well, no copy & pasting of the same cookie-cutter questions. Sure, it's nice you're spreading questions to folks who otherwise might not get it... But you aren't putting much effort into it. Hate to sound corny, but people appreciate it when you put in some effort on this stuff.
• If you persist on posting the same dull questions (or even worthless ones in general) and ignore warnings, then you will be banned from this subforum, period. I'm quite sure staffers can do this... =O

4) If you sign up, you're doing so for the community to learn about you a little more or maybe embarrass ya a little. Always a good thing =D However, if something a little too private or distasteful comes up, you do not have to answer! This is all about fun, alright folks? It isn't Truth Or Dare where you can get royally fucked over depending on who is on the other end of things. There was a good deal of drama last year involving a poster who, I regret to say, had to leave the forums as a direct result of this. I REALLY don't want a repeat, guys. If you are strongly embarrassed about a question, say "no comment" or "pass" and move along. If so, no one will think less of you.

5) I do all the threadmaking. Keep all discussions to the discussion thread and out of everywhere else. Got some questions or something I left off this post? Tell me on the discussion thread and I'll explain/tweak things =)

6) The rotations will take three days, and each rotation will consist of a group of five members!

7) Answer at your leisure! Either do them as they come along or sit until the very end. If personal troubles kick in, I'll keep the thread locked until you return!

So, let's run through it real fast again.

• Three day rotations. Three additional days to answer all your questions.
• Keep the questions away from shit that could get that person in trouble. No copy-paste questioning.
• Answer at your leisure.
• No PMing me about sign-ups, especially after they're closed.
• Have fun!

The first group of five starts its rotation on February 1st at 12:00am Central!
