Sorry for the late, late response. But wow, what a paltry turn out. I thought I wouldn't fade into obscurity quite so fast. No matter. Less work for me to have to do.

I tend to like original works from people who have remixed or arranged VGM. This includes people like Star Salzman (Starblast) and Grant Henry (Stemage). Gwilym Wogan's "the meinpenis zeitgeist" also deserves mad props.

As far as stuff completely removed from VGM, I've been enjoying a lot of Fantastic Plastic Machine lately, amongst other bands.

1) yes
2) lol
3) *shrugs*
4) Ace Combat 5, Ragnarok Online, Ratchet & Clank 2, The Ninja Warriors Again, and Wild Arms 4 ... at least for now. This list will be different at any given time, and the stuff listed will by no means be definitive.
5) Things are really shaking, so yes.
6) Serious Business wasn't as serious as Gamingforce, apparently.
