The Truth Hurts, Tritoch!

1) Are you a fan of multielement attacks like Kjata, Tri-Disaster/Dazer, Rainbow, or is it just the esper? Rationale in 5 sentences or less please.
2) The standard question I'm genuinely interested in: "What are your top three current favourite rpgs and why?" with an explanation of less than a paragraph for each.
3) What did you dislike in particular about Jump Superstars?
4) Which DS games you can online with are the most exciting in your opinion, other than Clubhouse games?

I was going to wait a bit longer, but it's a minor inconvenience not having a thread subscription. This cannot stand!

In b4 everyone else.

1. Sup?
2. How'd you get to GFF originally?
3. ? > Jigglypuff. Fill in the question mark.
4. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
5. Your current favorite song?
1) Howdy.

2) Originally I came because a friend in high school pointed me here for VGM around May 2003. My dial-up hated the site and I had very little patience though, so I didn't bother registering. It wasn't until August that I came back and registered to use the FTPs upon Nutty's suggestion.

3) Ness > Jigglypuff

4) Optimistically, finishing up Grad school with a Master's in Psychology. Realistically, some shit office job eternally cursing myself.

5) That's difficult to say since I haven't been listening to much music on my new laptop. Only 1/3 of my collection has even been transferred so far. At the moment I'd probably go with "Gentle Hands" from .Hack//G.U. though.

1) I have no idea what any of those attacks are from, so I guess just the esper. Let's face it, Tritoch was pretty awful to summon since at least one of his elements would heal most enemies. I hear that Valigarmanda guy was great, though.

2) It's a pretty stereotypical list, but I'd go with 1) Chrono Trigger, 2) FF VI, 3) SMT: Digital Devil Saga. Secret of Mana, Persona 3, and FF IV just barely miss the cut and although I'm a huge .Hack fanboy I admit the series' gaping flaws too.

3) Granted I only played it for maybe 10 minutes, but I remember it being ridiculously easy and the menus too text-heavy to really be import friendly.

4) I don't go online with my DS too much, but I loved Mario Kart DS before it became impossible to find opponents who didn't snake. Advance Wars: DoR was also great with Tails the one time I tried it online.

1) This is the only quote I have from you ~

EdibleDragon: I want to get paid to bludgeon puppies with fruit

We've had plenty of hilarious conversations, yet, THIS is the only quote I considered important enough to save! Why do you think that is?

2) Booyes! I've always thought it was funny that you eventually INHERITED some of my catchphrases. If you could make any random and/or nonsensical phrase a worldwide catchphrase, what would it be, and how/when could it be used?

3) If YOU could milk any animal, what would it be?

4) If you could choose any inanimate object to magically come alive and serve as your pet and/or companion, what object would it be? What would you name it? How would it help or entertain you during your everyday life?

5) I'm assaulting you with words. Wouldn't it be cool if books had the power to kill? Describe the book that will one day kill you.

6) When was the last time you made an ass out of yourself?

7) What would be your occupation in GFF City?

8) The world is going to hell anyway, and my only goal in life is just to be able to survive a nuclear apocalypse. IF you were one of the last few survivors, what skills would you be able to use to help perpetuate the human race?

9) Who was the last person you impressed, and how did you do it?

10) Do you collect anything? Funny hats? I think you should start collecting funny hats.

I've had just one burning question ever since I saw your avatar/signature in my thread.

1) Jiggly's little insta-kill fall-asleep move in SSBM (haven't played with him in brawl yet but i assume its the same). Overpowered or no, and why do you feel that way?

FGSFDS!!!
There's two of them and two of us, that works in our favour.

An answer list appears! Command?
1) Tal Tal Heights is the best shit on the Brawl Soundtrack? Y/N and reasons why.
1) No, though it IS extremely close. I still don't have a copy of the Brawl soundtrack, but Together We Ride from Fire Emblem will always be my favorite.

1. How do you sleep when you know your cat could slit your throat while you sleep?
2. So what do you do on your free weekend days now that I'm not around up there?
3. What's your ideal minion? (ex. servebots, moogles, metools, grunties, prinnies etc.)
4. What's your preferred Castlevania, Arcade type or RPG/Metroid type?
5. How do you feel about bullet hell/curtain fire shooters like touhou?
1) I try not to think about it, though I did feel a bit threatened when she cut the phone line while I was asleep the other night.

2) What free weekend days? I work. ;_;

3) Living muffins armed with laser spears. Try to tell me they wouldn’t be awesome and delicious.

4) It’s kind of an unfair comparison since RPG-style is the only kind that’s really been made for like the past 10 years. Still, I think I prefer the old games. Castlevania Adventure II: Belmont’s Revenge and Dracula X provide plenty of fun without having to get too involved.

5) I don’t like the insanely impossible ones, but as long as it’s manageable without having the enemy firing patterns memorized I enjoy them.

1. What are you feeding that cat?
2. Are you afraid of the Bearnstein Bears? If so, why?
3. Does Old English furniture polish do wonders on sore feet?
4. Scenario: Ninja monkey's find their way slyly into your apartment and they wake you up. Do you A: Throw a pie at them, B: Summon Captain Planet, or C: Something else?
5. Knowing that Squirtle is a useful character, would you trade him for your cat as a playable character in Brawl?
6. Has Zero asked enough questions yet?
1) Dried cat food and your socks.

2) I can't fear what's spelled incorrectly and thus doesn't exist.

3) No, but it’s surprisingly effective against crabs.

4) Since I’m sure they’re fairly adept at dodging and are notoriously clean ninjas I doubt pies or Captain Planet would have much effect. Let’s be realistic here. It could only end in Smash Bros. While they’re busy brawling, I’d go get my board with a nail in it.

5) Nah. She’d have essentially the same move set except with Jigglypuff’s nap move instead of Squirtle’s shell spin.

6) No, he didn’t. I even answered that one early via AIM for him too.
1) This is the only quote I have from you ~

9) Who was the last person you impressed, and how did you do it?

10) Do you collect anything? Funny hats? I think you should start collecting funny hats.
1) Considering the vast number of conversations that only go as far as “Heyo!” “Howdy!” that could be the reason. Unfortunately, the real reason is that you’re too ashamed of me to let anyone else using your computer for unknown reasons find out that we speak.

2) As already stated on AIM, I hate you for asking this question. However, after a considerable amount of thinking I do recall a catchphrase! “GERMAN MAGIC” is one that I believe Nutty finds quite irritating, referring to a solution for traffic jams, parking situations, and generally any time vehicular trouble is involved. On the worldwide scale it may not work so well in Germany for obvious reasons, so they might have to go with “LIECHTENSTEINIEN MAGIC.”

3) The first and best animal that comes to mind is a walrus. Surely with all that blubber they’d have some mighty fine milk. Plus, if they were milkable I’d like to think it would squirt from their tusks.

4) For the sake of practicality I’d enjoy having one of those small tables with wheels as a pet. It would be quite convenient to have a living table to follow me around and freak out anyone who attempts to steal things I place on it. Also, I would name it Tabitor. Just be glad I didn’t choose the mannequin hand sitting behind my computer.

5) The only book capable of taking me down would be a kids’ book. I’d never see that one coming. It would probably either be one of the Nate the Great books or that book I read when I was little about a guy who ate tons of pickles before bed and had crazy nightmares.

6) Ah, good thing I waited to answer these! My German class is held in a tiny, scorching room in the library basement, so the door is kept open during class. On Wednesday I arrived just as it was starting and my foot hit the wooden doorstop in just the right way to pull it out and cause it to roll, repeatedly banging the door as it closed.

7) I’d be the psychologist who eventually flies into an alcohol-induced rage and sets fire to the Sewers after listening to all the Angst district people.

8) I have a +10 to cooking Spam, and that’s pretty much the only skill needed after the apocalypse. Other than that, I’ve always had a knack for scavenging, so I could find nifty stuff in the ruins.

9) Nutty was surely impressed by the severe beating I gave him in Brawl a few nights ago.

10) I do have a funny hat! Well, I HAD a funny hat. I’m not sure if it’s still at home or not. At the moment my only real collecting is the vague “game/anime figure” collecting. I have far too many, really. My main collections in the past were Pokemon cards and little NHL hockey player keychains. I forget what they were called. Lil’ somethings.

I've had just one burning question ever since I saw your avatar/signature in my thread.

1) Jiggly's little insta-kill fall-asleep move in SSBM (haven't played with him in brawl yet but i assume its the same). Overpowered or no, and why do you feel that way?
1) Meh. I never used that anyway, so I don’t consider it overpowered. I attempted to master it at one point, but could never get the timing down enough for it to be useful against non-computer opponents. If someone’s put in enough effort to get that move to work on demand then they deserve the kill.

2) Godot. DOT. GOH-DOT. You fuck. >=(
2)

I’ll be laughing at that the whole way through PW3.

1. Why aren't you playing Super Mario Galaxy, FFXII, or BioShock?
2. Will you ever buy a PS3?
3. What's your earliest memory?
4. If you still work at the video store 5 years from now, do you want me to kill you?
5. Can you get Julie to call me with a naughty message on my birthday?
6. Where's the bacon?
7. What place do you hope to travel to someday?
8. What's the last thing you cooked yourself?
9. Name one talent you have that I don't know about.
10. When you die, what song do you want played at your funeral?
1) Each one has a different answer! Super Mario Galaxy is the unfortunate victim of achievement points. Having gotten it at the same time as the 360, it’s sort of been placed on hold as I endeavor to crush your gamerscore. In the meantime, I find myself thinking about the points I’m missing out on. I keep meaning to fix that, since the game looks like tons of fun.

As for FF XII, I have a large backlog of RPGs in particular and XII just doesn’t rank too highly on it. The battle system still looks to be the dullest thing ever instituted and several of the characters look pretty generic and pointless too (Penelo and Basch). Considering how horrible X-2 was and how insulting X’s final boss was I find it difficult to place XII very high on the backlog list compared to stuff like Persona 3, DQ VIII, and Rogue Galaxy. I do want to give it a try sometime, but the mood will have to strike me.

Bioshock I really have no excuse for. I keep thinking how I’d like to get back to it, but then I end up playing something else instead.

2) Sure, when the price goes down considerably and it gets some interesting exclusive games. So far Folktales is the only one that caught my eye. Who knows, though. WET may very well be the game that convinces me to buy one.

3) I remember crawling around on the floor of some photography studio downtown that mom took me to. As far as I know it’s real, but I guess I’ll never know for sure.

4) Yes, but only after buying a couple discount rental cards. I don’t want to go out with a bad sales record.

5) Sadly I have no control over Julie. Our mysterious automated calling girls seem to be Tracy and Stephanie. However, I guarantee Julie will give you a free rental on your birthday! Just force the clerk to type COBDAY and victory will be within your grasp.

6) Oddly enough, it’s under my couch.

7) I’ve always thought San Francisco would be a neat place to visit. Blame the trolleys in all those old Rice-A-Roni commercials. Now that I know about its Japantown it ranks even higher on the list.

8) Does whipping together some tuna salad count? Tough, I’m counting it. It didn’t come from a box or ready-made can, so it works.

9) Hrm, that’s difficult. Not sure if I would really call it a talent, but I’ve improved my little Gryllnak comics beyond their original sketchbook crappiness to something I happily deem mediocre. Done several full page comics that I never posted here, mostly because I’m not sure they’d be amusing to anyone other than myself and a couple friends who seem to like them.

10) I’m not really sure what an appropriate song would be. The juxtaposition of Waka Laka would be great though, and I could guarantee my ghost would be laughing hysterically at the looks of utter confusion on the gatherers’ faces. Other than that, just something that’s somber but hopeful I suppose. I wouldn’t want it to be something horribly depressing.
