Oh hell yeah. That Donkey Kong Gimmick Beat game was way damn better than the Donkey Kong Country Series.

I just hope Bungie pulls of the impossible and gives the trilogy an ending that will satisfy most gamers.
I don't see how they can fail, with regards to the story. They've set it up at a critical juncture. Earth is now the focal point. IMO, the plot would somehow involve the Halo rings hyperspacing in from all across the galaxy after activating the Ark early on in the game. Then Master Chef would have to do something to destroy (the) Halo(s) once and for all. (I just thought of all this now, does it sound too farfetched )? Then there is of course, the Covenant. It would be funny if it ended up like the recent Star Wars: New Jedi Order plotline. For those who don't know, an extragalaxial (new term) race enters the Star Wars galaxy and at the end of the war, they come to a truce, mostly because of the finding of their homeworld.

In my opinion, having the Covenant come to terms with Halo's real ability, and subsequently acheiving peace with humanity, would be a very interesting ending. I say this because in Halo 2, their entire culture seemed to be focused on the succession of the Great Journey, believing the rings were a path to salvation or whatnot.

Oh, and DKC all the way.

It won't need pinning if it's as big as we hope it's gonna be.

A Halo spinoff wouldn't be a bad idea, but they should only start on it after making Halo 3, and finishing the story of the original FPS series.

I wouldn't mind a videogame that goes through the rise of the Covenent. Things like the conquest of the various species throughout the ages and such.

Hell, I know it from myself that one can get to eager. (Which is why I posted something about Red Steel in MArio's Warp Room a whole day after a thread was made about it. I'm still crying about that...)

But he saw it on a forum about Halo 3. Therefore, although it has nothing to do with Halo 3, it is somehow relevant.

No such game as "Donkey Kong Gimmick Beat" though.

You may be confusing it with Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. It used the GC bongos in a really unique and fun way, that was not at all gimmicky, but an original way to play the game.

You should rent it!

Woo. Hope that comes first. I'd rather not see a talented developer like Bungie just waste away on Halo sequels.

Despite Bungie's claims to the contrary, US magazine Game Informer has declared that its article on Halo: Forerunner is not, in fact, an April Fool's joke.

According to the article, Forerunner will feature "huge persistent worlds" built around a modified Halo 2 engine. It'll also have a co-op mode for up to four players.

A Bungie type dismissed the article as "an April Fool's gag" on the developer's forum - but in its latest issue, Game Informer says it's all true.

And that's not all - the mag is also claiming that Bungie's rumoured 'Project Orion' relates to a special ops team which is looking at the possibility of developing a massively multiplayer Halo game.

Sounds like fun - but is it fact or fiction? Well, looks like we'll just have to wait and see what turns up at E3 now, doesn't it...
