This week on Virtual Console US (10/15/07):
Gate of Thunder (TG16) Metal Marines (SNES) Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (NES) Awesome, Ninja Gaiden II was without a doubt the best of the trilogy on NES.  CPG settings complete. Neural linkage, ion density normal. Update meta motor cortex parameters. Nuclear reactor critical. Power flow is stable. Systems all green. Strike Freedom, system activated! |

No, no excuses. You've never played it before, big deal. No one has. Who had a TG-CD, I mean honestly. Buy it anyway. What's the point of only buying games you've already played.
Decent graphics, solid gameplay, and OH MY GOD THE SOUNDTRACK I am not even entertaining "I don't like shmups" as an excuse.  |

Looks amazing (reminds me of the Zero Wing (character) design, but hey, it was 16 bit). If MD Thunderforce IV: Lightning Force makes it on the VC anytime this millennium Ill pick both of these games up for some horizontal shump goodnes.

Are there that many people that don't already have SMB3 on NES, GBA, or SNES? It's a good game, sure, but it's not that hard to find.

I do, but Super Mario Bros. 3 is just that damn good.
And no, I don't own the game on any console it was released for. That and I've never heard of Alien Soldier. |

I'm fucking thrilled about Alien Soldier though. I fucking hope I have the money to get this when VC updates. EDIT: I can't find any information on Power Gold though, I just keep getting links to the Nov 5 updates.
