I own it for the GBA, so this update is useless to me. It's good for the people who don't own it though. $5 for one of the greatest Mario games of all time? How could you turn a deal down like that?
Otherwise, no downloads for me this week. ![]() |
|
So . . . does anyone else think that the zapper accessory will be used to make Zapper and Super Scope games available?
First one will be Yoshi's Safari. |
|
If they ever have that, I am all over that download. I actually own the game itself for the SNES, but I never owned a Super Scope. It just collected dust.
It would be awesome to have that game available for download though. |
|
If they made the Wii Zapper compatible with VC games, the first one out would be Duck Hunt. Why lie?

That's a brilliant idea, hopefully Nintendo will follow suit. There's more games out there that are compatible with the Zapper and the Super Scope than I thought. Speaking of the Super Scope, there was a game that was bundled with it with 6 minigames. That'll probably be the third game.
I still have my Super Scope, but it stopped working years ago. ![]() CPG settings complete. Neural linkage, ion density normal. Update meta motor cortex parameters. Nuclear reactor critical. Power flow is stable. Systems all green. Strike Freedom, system activated! |

There are maybe 10 NES/SNES games that used light guns and even if Nintendo has the rights to use them they'd have to be reprogrammed because the Zapper isn't even a light gun. You'd be using a red dot by pointing on the screen disjointedly with the Wii Controller or something which defeats the entire purpose of light guns. It wouldn't be authentic.

so no Bayou Billy?

Konami.

And, yes, I own a Menacer. And yes, I regret it. |

Didn't realize the Genesis had a light gun, but I guess it makes sense. However, the one that comes with the Menacer and the one titled "Super Scope 6" which was bundled with the Super Scope look to be two different games.

Yeah Super Scope 6 was I think 3 games. One was a weird side scrolling tetris, the other was a shoot bad guys coming at you and I can't remember the third.
but there were 6 different um..difficulties or whatever Super Scope 6 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ![]() |
You guys are right about the light gun though. Using it without anything on the screen gives you the more realistic feeling that you're actually doing the aiming. Putting a cursor on the screen would detract from that skill-based experience. |

Two classic titles released today. Not bad either:
Axelay Konami SNES Blue's Journey SNK Playmore Volleyball NES I dont wanna know anything about volleyball but whatever. The other two were amazing. Blue's Journey (AKA Raguy) was addicting . |
|
Do I sense Nintendo finally realizing the fact they made the SNES? Been a damn while since they even released an SNES game.
Pretty good choice though, Axelay was pretty good. ![]() Currently Playing:Persona 3, .hack//G.U. vol 3, Wild ARMs 3, and Phantasy Star Universe (360). I will beat a rod until a tank empties~ Chocojournal |

This week on Virtual Console US (11/19/07):
Wrecking Crew (NES) Super Air Zonk (TG16) Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis) *sigh* I'm not too thrilled with 3D Blast. I'm kinda glad the VC updates are weak since there have been and still to come some good Wii games coming out this month. ![]() CPG settings complete. Neural linkage, ion density normal.
