The excitement is in Phantasy Star 4. That means they'll release 1, right? No wait, they're Nintendo, so we'll only get 2, 3, 4.

Well it's Monday again and this week's Virtual Console release in the US are two import titles for the NES, both for 600 points:
Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa Dig Dug Wait a minute...the first Dig Dug for the NES was never released in America? Wow, I can't believe that.  CPG settings complete. Neural linkage, ion density normal. Update meta motor cortex parameters. Nuclear reactor critical. Power flow is stable. Systems all green. Strike Freedom, system activated! |

You have to love Nintendo, charging us extra for a title that is available in loads of other places (including XBLA) for cheaper.

I can understand if all the third party companies are being bitches about licensing games for the VC, but surely Nintendo could do better than this. Sales can't be so low as to justify such sluggish releases. Nintendo only has to wait on themselves to give us, say, Earthbound.

You could just install the Homebrew Channel and forget the Virtual Console ever existed. No mod chips required. Takes under a minute. You just need a computer to transfer a few things to an SD card. Easiest thing ever.
