Releases for 10/06/08:
Virtual Console Mario Golf (N64) - 1000 points Shining Force II (Genesis) - 800 points WiiWare Midnight Bowling - 800 points MadStone - 800 points ![]() CPG settings complete. Neural linkage, ion density normal. Update meta motor cortex parameters. Nuclear reactor critical. Power flow is stable. Systems all green. Strike Freedom, system activated! |

Nice - I already have the original cart for Shining Force II (and have downloaded SFI on VC already). I still have a strange urge to purchase this with my leftover Wii points in a non-probable event of letting Climax know we'd like a good Shining game from them ... i.e. Shining Force IV.

Not gonna happen. They don't want any excuses to bring over Mother 3. Even at the cost of thousands of dollars of free money there is now precedent because of the success of Sin & Punishment on VC bringing about the release of its sequel.

I realize I'm being naive. |

Since the Wii (general) thread is dead and this is more concern about VC and WiiWare, I'll post it here.
On page 6 of Nintendo Conference Fall 2008, Iwata said they're going to make it more convenience to store VC and WiiWare games on SD card. This what believe at first that you can now directly play VC and WiiWare games off a SD card. Well it doesn't look like it!
Oh, I laugh at this statement:
![]() ![]() The NEW Klonoa Fan Club! Download the soundtracks/audio rips here! Still Alive (Portal ED) Daigasso! Band Brothers style! |

Ozzie gets his wish:
WiiWare World of Goo (2D Boy - 1,500 Wii Points) Art Style: CUBELLO (Nintendo - 600 Wii Points) Virtual Console SECRET OF MANA (Super NES - 800 Wii Points) STREET FIGHTER II': SPECIAL CHAMPION EDITION (Sega Genesis - 800 Wii Points) Not a bad update at all, if you don't have SF2 on Live, or outright want SoM. When I hear goo, I think of a Boy and his Blob..

What? Secret of Mana? Holy god. THERE IS HOPE? FOR OTHER THINGS? (SD3 on hardware? T'would be awesome. Now if only I had a GBA flashcart so I could play Mother 3 untethered from a computer)
|

Oh my, Secret of Mana? Now I really need to decide whether or not I want a Wii Points card or not.
![]() It's either that or an 360 Point card so I could get Megaman 9. ![]() |

If you hurry, Wii Points cards are $12 at Toys R Us today. Yesterday too if you have a time machine! =D
I picked up World of Goo, and it's quite a bit of fun so far. Basically, you erect towers by connecting the gooballs and try to reach the pipe with enough goos remaining to meet the level goal. It's interesting compensating for gravity and building around obstacles like cogs that pop your goos. The $15 cost is a bit pricey, but apparently it was made mostly by 2 guys like Braid.

I picked up two yesterday, but I wish I'd grabbed three. I forgot about VC Secret Santa coming up, and I used up one card already for World of Goo and Fantasy Zone today. Thinking about getting Shining Force 2 too.
