GFF and its silly topic names.

I tried the demo earlier today, and it was actually kind of awesome. The controls worked great and the graphics + sound felt new and fresh. I had some trouble with the targeting system as well with long rage combat, but other than that it was a pleasant suprise. I will probably pick this up when it arrives.

My overall reaction to this game was "Meh". Most of the "challenges" in the game came from either the imprecise controls or having to repeat the same action over and over again quickly enough so you don't die.

When this game is under $30 I'll probably pick it up.

WTF, am I the only one who's not getting ANY sound at all from the demo on PS3?
Or was that intentional and I missed it...?
There' nothing at all, the Dolby signal just vanishes shortly before the LucasArts logo. It doesn't even have sound via HDMI. What's going on there? I can't be the only one to experience this?

Just read an interesting comment on Force Unleashed on MTV Multiplayer's blog (emphasis is mine):
Quote:
What better way to celebrate a few days without work than to play through “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed” on the Xbox 360? This is a game I would not have bought based on the demo. My early impression was that this thing was more of a tech demo and a tweak of franchise fiction than a fun, well-made game. Now I’ve finished it, bursting to discuss the significant bridges it builds between Episode 3 and Episode 4 and its stunning final level. But LucasArts won’t let me write about it until two Fridays from now.
I wasn't entirely put off by the demo, so this kind of comment makes me more tempted to chance it. If I can find a money off code I might have to stick a pre-order in.
