I used to do it with an old gameshark accessory. But it stopped working when I swiched to Windows XP and that company went down the crapper. Oh well...

I know you can do this if you have a network adapter and an FTP server .elf installed on your memory card. Installing exploits is a much larger deal though. If you want to go through with that, it's really only worth it if you already have a network adapter, PS2 swap disc, at least one PSX game, etc.

I use LaunchELF for this purpose. It works like a file manager and can copy files from the Memory Cards to HDD, USB flash drives or via FTP to a computer and vice versa.

There's also commercial software out there (XPort/SharkPort) that supports support backing up Memory Card saves via USB cable.

The cable usually ships with the software and even if they are standard ones I doubt you'll be able to use them without the appropriate software.

Any possibility there's a tutorial for LaunchELF? I have a Slim v14 with networking ability, tape and tissue mod with Swap Magic 3.6, with a jump drive. I used to just transfer saves via Code Breaker 9.0, but for some reason my PS2 won't pick up my jump drive anymore, even when the file table is FAT16. I've tried FAT32 as well, but to no avail. Any help?
