I find it amazing that such a "hip" award show mentioned BioShock at all. It is far from a mainstream franchise.

I'm also amazed that there was consideration made towards game music. They probably just ran out of award categories.
That's not convincing since your nose is bleeding while you say that, you lesbo!

Wrong. The only flaw presented by H3's multiplayer is that it's populated by assholes. Other than that the game presents a very solid package, both online co-op and VS. The only thing that comes close to it this year is Call of Duty 4.

Bioshock is overrated? What fantasy world do you live in? I'd hate to see what games you consider worth playing if you say Bioshock is overrated.

For j00? You can leave now. Leave forever.

The man has a point, your leaving forever would benefit the thread and the rest of the forums. You have gone out of your way to prove that you're a fucking retard, so the request is valid.

Is there a reason we're fucking arguing over these though? We've already gone over the "SHIT IS OVERRATED, YO" in the individual threads for these games already.

Uh huh, I don't remember saying "SHIT IS OVERRATED, YO"

"We". Who is "we"? I am really curious.

I don't remember talking directly at anyone but pointing out that I am not 100% with Spike TV.

I'm surprised how many people are hating on Mass Effect and Bioshock. Yeah, that's really all I have to add to this. Videogame awards are pretty pointless no matter what way you look at it, and people are going to fucking whine no matter what does or doesn't win anyway.

I'm glad Ubi got the finger with AC. Force them to get their shit together for AC2.

we have a category for best OST but not one for story/script?

He was talking about this. Please, if you can, avoid the trolling. At first I thought the award for Halo 3 multiplayer was bogus, then I realized they might also be taking into account 4 player co-op, since technically that is multiplayer as well. If they were in fact counting the online co-op, then yeah, Halo 3 deserves it for that alone. However, it's pretty obvious this award show is just as political and bought out as any other. You can only hope for pleasant surprises when it comes to these things. Flat out expecting the awards to include a bunch of non-mainstream games or even pick legitimate winners is flat out naive.

I like how most of these "winners" came out only a few short weeks ago.

Rhythm game? like there was much competition there.

Yeah award shows also tend to have short term memory. Not that I can recall stuff as anticipated as Halo 3, Orange Box, CoD4, and of course AC6. I'll be honest, I imagine the typical Spike male as some Xbox Live trash talking college fratboy who starts drinking at noon.

Yes but other things did come out this year. Most of the winners had a fall release. Some have barely made a debut too, makes you wonder if they count their ballots (you know if there is actually some kind of vote besides lucrative deals) on the night of the awards.

Nobody cares about the Spike TV Video Game awards. I tried watching it the first year, and couldn't get through 2 minutes of it because it was so bad. It has zero credibility to me. Those awards are based purely on "buzz" surrounding the games before and after release. I wouldn't be surprised if the people choosing the winners haven't even played though all of these game.
huh?

you wonder if they count their ballots dollars on the night of the awards.
Sounds about right; gives them the maximum amount of time to rake in the "marketing considerations."
Did someone call my name?
