I'll back you up on that! Duke 3D has aged a lot better, I think. Doom was good, but it plays so rigid now, and the absence of snappy, curse-laden one-liners makes it a distant second.

I was hoping we'd actually get a date for Duke Nukem Whenever, but we're still being kept in the dark. I dunno how good it's going to be, but If through some grace of God DNF somehow lives up the combined hype of ten years development, it'll be the stuff of legends.

I just want a full version of the music used in this teaser.

Anyone mind telling me about this "trilogy" game set that I haven't heard of ?

There's really nothing to tell, the games were basically just announced.

I am pleased with the notion of Apogee coming back from the dead more-or-less to start and finish 3 new Duke titles while 3D realms upgrades their engine and starts all over again for the nth time. There will now be Duke In Our Time, friends.

More like best trailer ever. I saw that this morning and couldn't stop laughing. The four guns shooting the logo, Duke zooming across the screen with an explosion in the background, the camera zooming in on his crotch. Best thing to come out of E3 this year aside from Ravi Drums spazzing out on stage at the Nintendo thing.

The games are for PSP and DS, IGN's got an interview or something with some guy somewhere. Some.

Sounds like the PSP versions will be FPS' while the DS is getting side scrollers.

Based on the last teaser they came out with for DNF, I'd say they stopped work around 2002, and just found that crappy FMV sitting around one day and decided it'd be funny to pass it off as new.

That has got to be the worst trailer I've ever seen, for anything. All it really does is pan and scroll over the titles a bunch of times. And to think I was actually expecting something from the Duke Nukem crew with this.

Now, it's been quite while since I last played Duke, so my mind could be playing tricks on me. Tell me, did Duke always sound as retarded as he did in that trailer?

I think I played the crappy shareware demo of the first game in the series more than anything else until I got an N64. Fuck yeah, modern Duke run-and-gun games.

Yeah, I loved the original Duke Nukem platformers. It'd be awesome if they included them in these, but they won't.

Oh, hardly complaining. Just... going into it, I expecting something a little more than flashing the three titles over and over.

That was seriously, the single funniest thing to come out of E3.

I sat there laughing for 5 minutes straight.
