Warship Gunner 2
I'm guessing that most of us are familiar with the Dynasty Warriors series of games to be found under Koei's aegis. Less widely known, I think, would be their naval games, the most recent of which hit this side of the Pac last week. Here's some relevant linkage to spark discussion:
So far, as you might have divined, I've been having lots of fun with this game. |
Some expansion: if you liked designing your own deliverer of doom in games like the Mechwarrior 2 family, then you'll feel right at home here. Except that instead of mechs, you're dealing with a variety of warships ranging from destroyers and submarines to monsters that would shame the US Navy's Iowa-class battleships. Now cherry that with an exhaustive list of things you can recover from the battlefield and/or research on your own over the course of a campaign. The TotalPlaystation articles I linked to could probably do a better job at describing it, and they certainly have the screens to help. |
