[PC] Games for kids 4-7 yrs old

Hey guyz.

I recently got 2 pcs for my young brothers, aged 4 and 7-ish . Now i really dont want them playing GTA vice city all day long, so i must ask, are there any games you'd recommend for them? They have to be a bit more than just "Hi you little retard, i'm here to make you smart" style. Fun but in a slightly useful/educational way.

Suggest away !

I hear most Wii games are aimed at four year olds.

Other than that, I believe that most kids tv channel websites have plenty of flash games on them for that age group. I'd be surprised if you found much commercially available stuff for that age group that wasn't either too preachy or just plain crap though (See earlier Wii reference). Can't say it's a market I'm often in.

Streets of Sim City is a good one. My younger cousin was capable of playing that at 4 years of age. You drive a car equipped with missiles and oil slicks, and you gotta take out the other cars.

My nephew and niece (same age range) seem to like to use the cartoon network website and disney.com. Assuming you don't have the internet on that PC, just ask them what cartoons they like and most likely you will find a crappy PC game based on that cartoon.

Most kids that age don't really care about the quality of those games. They just wanna see their favorite characters on the screen.

As for my 7 yr old nephew, he already likes to mess around with Starcraft/Warcraft III.

I guess kids like to mess with sandbox RP maps as I have learned in the past.

Sandbox games in general, yes.. That's why they love GTA and the likes, the freedom.
