GFF is a hellhole full of elitists who chat about everything EXCEPT games. We have a team of dedicated moderators who will ban your ass on the slightest provocation, constant member-organized activities that you are not allowed to participate in, and plenty of custom features, including our unique journal system where you can post entries that will be completely ignored. If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ or our GFWiki. You will have to register before you can post. Although membership is completely free (and gets rid of the pesky advertisement unit underneath this message) we do not recommend that you sign up, because you will get kicked in the nuts repeatedly.

That is beyond question. You see, the Patriots were able to salvage the previous version of The Boss from way in the USSR, and combined with the spiritual impulse from her

Well back home from vacation to the UK and now I had the chance to watch the HD English dubbed trailer. Some good stuff in there but didn't really have that much of impact compared to the trailers for MGS4's predecessors. Infact the only trailer that seems like a typical "Kojima" trailer was at last year's E3 which introduced the characters with that vocal track and suicidal Snake. I think the main issue is with the music as again all the previous Metal Gear trailers featured the "Main Theme" prominantly and it's been notably absent in every MGS4 trailer to date including this TGS one which marks the last major event and trailer that the public will see.
Kojima supposebly said the theme was in the game but I'm even more doubtful after this trailer.
Spoiler:
Here's the video in question though of the 2 Russian journalists meeting Kojima and then playing the music: YouTube - Metal gear solid main theme - plagiarism?
Spoiler:
Also the demo for MGS4 unfortunately won't be on PSN. Seems like there was a miscommunication and while Kojima Productions "would like" to release a demo, at this time there are no plans to do so. ![]() There's plenty of videos of the demo on the net though but sadly those playing it can't play nought for shit including this one at Jeuxvideo but you do get to see the Codec in MGS4: Jeuxvideo.TV : Vidéo Metal Gear Solid 4 : Guns Of The Patriots ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Along with some new clips at IGN: IGN: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Trailer, Videos and Movies Spoiler:
Also for anybody interested Jonnyram over at NeoGAF scanned the entire 52 page booklet that was handed out to each gamer who played the demo: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=192010 ![]() |

Though Im sure most people know but just incase,
on today's smashbros.com website update, we were revealed with triple update information regarding snake including MGS4 Love Theme song for SSBB Smash Bros. DOJO!!
Missing that one music track:
Fire Fight - Mission X // Frostbite ![]() |

The MGS Theme was on the 20th Anniversary album
Video Game Soundtrack - Metal Gear Solid 20th Anniversary Collection - Order Now! However I do agree that the MGS theme does sound a good amount like that Russian composer's song. The notes are similar, but it's the movements that are WAY too similar. I also watched the new TGS trailer. It wasn't that big a deal on spoilers. And yes it rocked of course. |
The track "Metal Gear Solid Main Theme - The World Needs Only One Big Boss!" is basically the main theme track from MGS3 except when it gets to the 5:04 mark when the Metal Gear theme is supposed to kick in the music shifts to the MGS2 track "The World Needs Only One Big Boss" and the MG theme is never heard. |
