SS didn't even know the Boss, why would he go and salute her grave? Even if he knew the truth about the events of MGS3 I still find it doubtful, and I dont think it's BB either since SS doesn't like him. I'm betting someone dies in MGS4 and it's his/her grave--maybe Meryl's or Raiden's. Or maybe he's paying a tribute to the fallen Grey Fox. Who knows.

Can't be, cause with the way it was presented in the trailers, it appears to be one of the first cut scenes we will be seeing when the game starts. Though I do agree it could possibly Fox's grave. However, I also agree with Kishin that it could have been Snake's own grave as well, perhaps reflecting on his own mortality.

Snake isn't arrogant enough to salute his own grave. Not to mention he's not dead yet.

The grave scene is before the main events, as Campbell and Otacon come to brief Snake on what's happening in the Middle East. So if it was someone who died in MGS4, we'd have known him for like two minutes before someone offed him.

i think that the game will start when snake kills himself, and then it's going to be a big flashback where snake told us what happens and why he did that !

At this time, I wouldn't even hazard a guess. Remember seeing Snake running around Big Shell? And what happened? Koj might pull out just such a twist yet again. Not that you're going to play as Raiden*, but something similar.

Regarding the MGS4 Snake fig (though I suppose this is directed more to Simo), does anyone know where I can pre-order it? Or when Sideshow will start taking pre-orders? Cause I wanna be sure I'll be able to make an order before they stop taking pre-orders (I imagine this one going quick).

Wow 58 pages! That's a lot of scanning. How much did it cost? Are there any more on eBay? I might want to get one too.

Your best bet is to keep an eye on Sideshow's site since they'll be the ones distributing it in the US:

Sideshow even had the prototype on display at the NY Toy Fair a couple of months back too.

Konami are offering new MGS4 wallpapers every week for the next 2 months beginning with Raiden....only they kept the other wallpapers on the server you only had to change the name and size in the URL to access them all before Konami caught on and took them down. Could Snake be saluting Solidus's grave?

My MGS2 memory is a bit hazy, but wasn't Solidus kind of a good guy, since he was fighting against the Patriots?

Yeah, except Solidus was a former President. Villain or not, he would still likely be burried in Arlington National Cemetary, and that graveyard certainly doesn't appear to be Arlington. He's probably saluting Grey Fox or Olga. Maybe Big Boss. Who knows, maybe Mei Ling or Nastasha died in between games. Maybe it's Stillman or Emma, wait, scratch that their bodies went down with Big Shell. Could be Master Miller. It could really be just about anyone, I don't really care who's grave it is.

Using that logic, it can't possibly be Grey Fox, as he became a smear under MG REX's foot.

Ignoring that though, I'm pretty sure there are gravestones all over the place with no body underneath, so it could very well be Grey Fox.

Haha, quite a lot of emphasis on Raiden's crotch there (*cough* the bulge). His hair appears to be kinda bushy.

Meryl and Naomi are looking hot. Likin' Meryls outfit, kinda of a mix of Snake's MGS1 and 2 outfit (pants and pads from MGS1, and skin tight suit top from MGS2). My guess is that she's wearing the unlimited ammo bandana. The single earring on her right ear, I wonder what its significance is.

Naomi's outfit is rather interesting, pantyhose? I thought she was on the battle field with Snake (at least it appears that way in the trailer), heh, don't really see any tactical advantage for wearing a skirt and pantyhose. hey, does anyone else think she kinda looks like Monica Bellucci?

Campbell with the cane, indicating he's quite an old man now.

Liquid Ocelot, shades and a yellow suit with Ocelot's trademark trenchcoat. Looks pretty cool I guess, the ID tags somewhat indicates that there'll facility to infiltrate.

Otacon looks the same, just with gloves and a turtleneck sweater.

And of course Snake, looks like he's holding an MP5A4. Heh, no M16.

I wonder who Snake will be teaming up with for the co-op level (well, chase level I guess, it really only was co-op in MGS2).

Is there a 1280x1024 version of those wallpapers?
