Looks like SOLDIER was right, it is only his bottom jaw that was replaced, therefore the upper jaw that the figure has is not right. However it's still really col, perhaps the helmet can be shut to cover up the mistake.

I'm not sure whether that's teeth of just early/bad sculpting.
I think you're right. Upon further inspections at the different angles, it looks like it's just the lower jaw. Just funky paint scheme, mixed with the flash that made it appear like teeth during the first impressions.

Either way, i'll deffinitly be picking it up. Not so sure about Old Snake yet, i'd rather throw the cash down to get one of the MGS3 figures to be honust, despite them going for around $200 on eBay now.

Those are some pretty creepy ass teeth if I ever saw a pair of chompers.

Hell, I can't tell if he looks more pissed off or stoned. Still, a pretty bad ass figure. Too bad I would never drop more than $15-$20 on something like this. And I don't see it getting that low. Evar.

It's a 12" figure, it'll at least be $50, but more likely it'll be above that.

Hopefully Old Snake comes with Metal Gear MkII, that would be worth getting the figure for alone.

Some better pics without flash to help you all see that it's really not his teeth (like I said earlier just a funky paint scheme), plus his face mask is closed in these ones.

It still looks weird. I don't see why they couldn't just keep his lips a pale silver and not his whole chin. I think it would've looked better that way.

Anatomically speaking, those have to be his teeth. I still don't see how they aren't. Again, I love the look of it.

it's either they change the model of raiden and they didn't show any new pics of the upgraded version or this could be like a spoiler to the game? (like somewhere in the game it's lips get rip off his mouth XD)

or it's the modeler (or the paint job) that are clearly blind and saw some teeth where everybody clearly saw lips XD

To me, the problem seems to be that the bottom lip is too big and the groves are too deep. If they filled those in abit and made the lip that bit smaller, it would probably look much better.

I'm curious as to how Raiden became who he is now. We all saw him leave with a sappy happy ending in MSG2. And now he's some sort of cyborg "i'm going to kick your ass!" ninja. C'mon Kojima'ol buddy, dun let me down!

The ending of MGS2 confused me a bit. I mean, here's Rose who, at first, was this kind...supportive sort of girlfriend. Then

Spoiler:

She's some uber bitch who claims to have been studying Raiden.

As G.U. starts to go nuts, she REALLY gets bitchy. Then as soon as Solidus is killed, everybody is happy again. Awwww....

Did I miss something? Why didn't Raiden give her the smacking she deserved?

you have to remember that:

Spoiler:
Rose is pregnant from Raiden too... yes she lied to him, but they still fall in love...

Voice cast announcement: David Hayter back as Solid Snake, along with Flynn (Raiden), Eiding (Campbell), an Randolph (Otacon). Only a matter of time now before the announce the rest (eg. Cam Clarke, Debi Mae West, Patric Zimmerman, Jennifer Hale, ...).

Metal Gear Solid 4 Voice Cast Announced
Who will play Snake?
by Micah Seff

March 29, 2007 - Konami announced today that the voice of Snake, David Hayter, will be returning to the role for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PS3. Hayter will provide the voice of the game's aging and worn-out Solid Snake, appeasing the demands of fanboys everywhere.

Hayter will be joined by a cast of returning voice actors such as Quinton Flynn, Paul Eiding, and Christopher Randolph, who will reprise their work as Raiden, Roy Campbell, and Hal "Otacon" Emmerich, respectively. In addition to his work as a voice actor, Hayter has made a name for himself as the screenwriter of the first two X-Men feature films (not the abysmal X3), as well as the rumored 324-page screenplay for The Watchmen film adaptation.

"I couldn't be more excited about this game. What I've seen of Metal Gear Solid 4 has absolutely blown me away. To bring the focus of the story back to Solid Snake, and to work with Kris Zimmerman and many of the amazing actors that provided iconic voices for the previous games, is like coming home," said Hayter. "I'm so proud and grateful to have been involved with Mr. Kojima as the voice of Snake, for nearly a decade, on this legendary video game series. This game is going to plunge players into the ultimate Metal Gear experience. And personally, I can't wait to play it."

On March 29, David Hayter will be appearing as a special guest on The Kojima Productions Report podcast to discuss his work on the game. The podcast is available on the official Kojima Productions website, and via the iTunes music store.

Also suggest listening in on the the KojimaProduction podcast, as there's an interview with Hayter with some incite on reprising role.

Good stuff.

Especially loved the part where he said those classics "Meryl?!" "A Hind D?!" and the story about the airport security guy. Also, He's right, if I didn't know I never would have guessed heard by his voice that he's the guy that does snakes voice. That's why I liked that he intentionally used his voice a bit for that podcast.
