Now that several more characters have been announced and such information has circulated, we have the official trailer. Character themes are back, the button layout is different, and generally things are looking excellent.

Wow, that was much better than I expected. Whoa, you can tag while you air combo, very nice I like that. Overall, this looks like the old Vs. series just with an updated look. That is NOT a bad thing. It was a fun time back in the day, and its amazing to see them bring it back.

The one character I hope they put in is Jedah from Vampire Savior...please please let him be in it. He has so much potential.

I am also awaiting the arrival of Jedah. CFJ does not count =/. Overall , I really like what I'm seeing from Capcom. I want at least 3 more rival schools characters..

I still don't see any pizza cats. >8(

HOLY SHIT IT'S GOLD LIGHTAN! That is so incredibly hilarious and random that I do believe anything is possible. C'mon Samurai Pizza Cats!

Edit: Oh god, I just realized that there is a possibility that Ace Attorney characters might appear in this. That would be so incredibly bizarre and yet totally entertaining.

We get to fight on the freaking Gesselschaft? HELL YES! You are going to be the best stage background ever! Now I'm going to be sad if Tron or Megaman Trigger aren't playable. At least classic Megaman would be awesome enough.

The Tatsunoko fighters look like a lot of fun to play. It looks like the Gatchaman guy has some gliding style dashes. Looks fun all around.

I hope all of G-Force is in the game, INCLUDING GALACTOR.

It looks like the approach is one character per series, though. I'm pretty happy with the roster, to be honest. The only thing that threw me for a loop was Soki. Of all Onimusha characters, him? Curious, indeed.

It's not gonna make it over here more than likely because of the licensing issues that would be involved with how many anime properties are in the game. God help them if they decide to use characters from Mospeada.

Also, PS3 is region free, so it doesn't matter if it doesn't get localized here.

Oh that's a good point. Anime licenses are a bitch when it comes to games. That's why we'll never see an an American port of any of the non-OG Super Robot Wars games.

yeah i know what you mean but GG has the whole metal vibe, and also has the modern anime look, as compared to the old style of this tatsunoko (sp).

I wouldn't count out its appeal too quickly... not to say we eventually won't :/

Just something to make note of is the fact that a lot of people grew up on Tatsunoko Production anime. Gatchaman/G-Force/Battle of the Planets, Mospeada (Robotech adaptation thing), Samurai Pizza Cats, Gold Lightan, Tekkaman Blade... if you're just talking about normal fighting game fans, which pretty much are left to the hardcore, they don't care so long as the game isn't crap and anime really isn't so odd to them.

If you're just talking about casuals, then yeah. We're talking about folks who think Ed Boon makes great video games by sheer force of will and not 2 occasions of dumb luck accidents.

Tekkaman...is that the one with the guy and he has a green crystal that gives him armor to fight in space? If so, then I loved that show lol.

But hey, if they can handle games like Melty Blood [wtf] and Arcana Heart [even more wtf], then I guess Tatsunoko vs Capcom shouldn't be too bad.
