[Wii] HOLY NINTENDO CAMEO APPEARANCES, BATMAN! IT'S CAPTAIN RAINBOW! =O

So Japan is up to no good again but more importantly Nintendo of Japan is up to no good. They've pooped out some sort of action/rpg/wiiminigame storytimes thing and various Nintendo characters have joined the fray. It's basically like if you took Kingdom Hearts and vomited the virtually unknown game GiFTPiA and a sugar coating of Nintendo nostalgia into that already vile Squenix porta-potty and the magic concoction squeezed out Space Ace and Bible Man's secret love child.



Oh did I mention Japan? Because it's probably staying there on the same cursed reasons we'll never see another Goemon game. But that doesn't mean we can't watch some silly trailers and say o japan u in the meantime.

If nothing else, the trailer campaign is completely fantastic. Plus I loved Giftpia so this will probably be just as charming.

The trailer didn't catch my eyes. Yes, you may legally declare I am blind.

The trailer looks .. meh, probably because I have no clue what this is about.

I have no idea what's going on here, but those adverts are brilliantly bonkers. Loved the music playing throughout them.

Kimchi, it's about Captain Rainbow and his quest to be a popular super hero through various outings with dated and oft-forgotten Nintendo characters on some made-up island. Watch him punch a wall. Watch him do stuff. Watch him turn a thing! Captain Rainbow! Captain Rainbow!

After watching those trailers...

This seriously looks like it was developed for N64, and then stuck on a shelf until now. Add some waggle, and BANG. Captain Rainbow.

Did they intentionally make this look like an N64 game though? Maybe they're trying to make it the new "retro" or something, but...it's too soon.

Skip's Giftpia game had the same look, so I'd say it's their fancy style or whatever. I hope Luigi shows up to keep with Nintendo's running joke of him being the unknown loser.

This is so never going to get a Western release because Nintendo hates us all.

I'm actually more interested to see if they'll continue this new joke about him having a dark side.
