Picked up Xenosaga Episode 3 today.

I don't know why I keep buying the Xenosagas, considering I haven't even beat #1 yet. Not only that, but I pre-ordered the first two, and I bought this one the week it came out at BB, so I paid full price for all the games and for what? Pre-order bonuses and exclusive coverart?

I guess it's just lingering love of Xenogears.

Went to Gamestation last night and bought some cheap pre-owned stuff.

Otogi2 (Xbox)
It’s good, but I’m annoyed now because I thought I’d picked up Otogi1 instead. Idiot. So because I’m stubborn, I won’t touch this again until I play the original.

Silent Hill2 (Xbox)
This game still looks so great. It's actually better than I remember. I meant to buy it along time ago for the Maria scenario and additional endings, it’s just been difficult to find.

Half Life (Playstation2)
I haven’t had Half Life on my PC for over a year, maybe, so bought this just for easy play.

And the rest I haven’t tried.

Wow, excellent purchases right there. SOS and Flipnic are two of my favorite games on the PS2. And I really need to put more time into Gregory Horror Show. One day.

I bought stuff this week, pretty exciting I know.

Oh hey, late to the party. So late to the party the location got knocked down to make way for a Starbucks. And I'm playing it on console instead of PC, I must be some kind of swamp creature! Totally loving it so far, even if the boat bit did drag on for waaay to long. I was expecting a complete mess of a frame rate, too, but it seems pretty stable. Load times are constant, but they're usually done in a few seconds. It's also pretty fun throwing barrels at people.

What a complex game for a very popular system. I don't even have an N-Gage though. I only bought this because it was $4 and it'd look good sitting next to that copy of Sonic N. It doesn't really, but hey, maybe I'll read the manual while on the toilet one day. Quality!

Ahaha, the PAL version is pretty sloppy poo. No 60Hz mode, good job Sega. REMOVING Streets of Rage 1-3 yet keeping bloody Vectorman 1 and 2, another good job! GOOD JOBS ALL ROUND AT SEGA. But it has a cool remix of Underground Zone from the Master System's Sonic 2 hidden in there, so I can't totally hate the game.

I just bought "Metal Gear - Ghost Babel" New / Sealed on eBay, 4 days ago.
I bought it, because it's one of the few Metal Gear titles i still don't have in my collection, so i needed to buy this. And damn, it's SEALED! Because the person had to close his Videogame Shop, so he sold his games online... Happy to be the first who saw it, because i got a SEALED GHOST BABEL for only 12 dollars! :P

Well, i'm happy with that now, and i hope i will find my other missing Metal Gear games one day

I find it weird that I bought those 2 games at the exact same time too. I still have yet to play Gregory Horror Show, but SOS is fantastic. Here's hoping that we get the second one localized as it was awesome too and had all those extra scenarios which I didn't understand ;_;

I bought Viewtiful Joe 2 last week, I went looking for Metal Gear Solid 3 but they were looking some crazy price for it which I wasn't willing to pay seeing as Subsistence is coming so soon, so I grabbed this as it was cheap and I enjoyed the first one. Have to play it though as i've been bust with Shadow of the Colossus and Duke Nukem 3D (High Res pack uber awesome edition!)

Yesterday, I nabbed Disgaea 2, Atellier Iris, and Rez from an EB Games that might as well have been hidden away behind a waterfall. Yes, it was that hard to locate. They had a ton of other worthwhile stuff, too... I didn't want to get greedy, though.

As I understand it, Rez is a once-in-a-lifetime gaming expierence, and the other two, well, they just looked incredibly solid. I haven't played anything from NIS yet, but I hear they're good.

Xenosaga Episode III

I finally managed to pick this one up earlier this afternoon. I decided to play the game for a bit before doing anything else, and I was surprised at how seamless the transitions between battles were. I also expected more cutscenes like the previous games, but the dialogue seems a little more simplified now.

One of the employees at EB Games tried to persuade me to purchase the strategy guide along with the game. After I refused twice, he mentioned that a teenager had talked to them earlier and said that there was one puzzle in the game that "absolutely required" the guide. I still refused him though.

The best thing about the guide, Rydia, is that the first 20 pages or so are dedicated to the terminology, events, characters, and places surrounding the Xenosaga trilogy. Yes, you can find that in-game, but you wouldn't be able to read it on the toilet.

Today I bought 'Gun' for the XBOX 360 at a Gamestop for $35. It has a 75 out of 100 rating at Metacritic.com. I had been interested in the game for a while. I could have paid $20 less for the XBOX version, but I really wanted a new game for my 360. I havn't played it a lot lately and when I do play it I usually only play Hexic.

September's officially over, but the games which came out of it are amazing. I definitely have my hands full, especially with Okami and Disgaea 2 which are extremely high time consuming titles.

I didn't bother to order Valkyrie Profile 2, just because I couldn't bring myself to play through the first one. The whole "LOL NO LEVELLING UP, X DAYS UNTIL HOLOCAUST" thing was pretty annoying. I like to really get involved in my games, and I don't enjoy games with timers or limits like that.

Gitaroo Man WAN was a promotional game released prior to Gitaroo Man itself, but I still ordered it since it's pretty rare and you won't find it on ebay. Disgaea 2's maintained alot of the previous game's elements, but I've completed it and I didn't find the story all that interesting (in comparison to the original title).

Okami is possibly the best game to come out of september, or this entire year. I'm really impressed. Although I expected this since I've been waiting since frickin' APRIL for it to be released (exploring the japanese version was fun, but I couldn't get very far) and so far it's been worth the wait.

Metal Slug 6's a great game which has improved SNK's reputation since their abysmal Metal Slug 4 and 5 titles. It's still hard, but it's set after Metal Slug 3's plot and I'm liking the old school style. Surprisingly, all of the menus are in english (minus the slug training, which is basically a quest to do certain things in the different levels or levels which must be completed as well as reaching certain requirements.)

I'm looking foward to Phoenix Wright 2 and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood this month, along with whatever else might pop up in the process.

Oh oh, I forgot to tell you about my last purchase. I snagged Star Fox Command at Wal-Mart on a 1-day sale price. Whooo!

The game itself is awkward at first, but it's all second nature now. It's a lot better than what most people say about it, so you can't always trust reviews.

DN Theme postponed for the duration of my trip.

I only bought two games last month, Cooking Mama and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team. Cooking Mama was awesome, though it didn't take me long to do everything in the game. Still, for $20, it was definitely worth it.

As for PMD, I bought it at Circuit City when it first came out, since they were selling it for only $24 (compared to Gamestop selling it for $35). I'm still playing it now, and while I'm definitely enjoying it, it's making me want to play one of the regular games since I haven't done that in a while (since Pokemon Silver, to be precise). I might actually go out and buy one of the GBA games (either Ruby or Emerald, since my sister already has Sapphire) just so I can play a traditional Pokemon game, and so I can actually know who some of these Pokemon I keep running into in PMD actually are.

Wow, surprised I didn't post these two game already.

Okami - PS2
Valkyrie Profile Silmeria - PS2

Both are great games, and I've not even scratched the surface for Okami, since VP2 is taking up most of my time. Funny thing is I had both of these titles pre-ordered, just to see what it's like to well, pre-order.

I actually bought quite a bit over the past month.

Mega Man ZX - DS/$29
Brain Age - DS/$19
Xenosaga Episode III + Artbook - PS2/$39
Fatal Frame III - PS2/$16
Shin Megami Tensei : Digital Devil Saga 2 - PS2/$16
Trapt - PS2/$19
Star Fox Command - DS/$29
Wild Arms : Alter Code F - PS2/$19
Valkyrie Profile 2 : Silmeria - PS2/$49
Mario & Luigi : Superstar Saga - GBA/$5

I guess I need to get Okami, since people are talking about it pretty fondly. Of course, I'm only making my backlog worse and worse over time with all the additions but then I'm not planning on buying any of the next gen consoles at all for a while so this should keep me busy in the meantime.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue. The quiz thing at the beginning is a total pain in the ass. I got it 'cause Star kept talking about it nonstop. He's already saved me twice >_> I suck.

From September, I got Megaman ZX and Valkyrie Profile 2. Both were high-profile sequels and both have been top notch thus far (while being just different enough from their predecessors). I haven't torn either one apart like I probably should have...I'm past Chapter 1 in VP and I've cleared a mission in ZX after getting past the opening (I have the wing armor). I look forward to getting through both of them.

Prior to that, I had gotten Big Brain Academy. I'm happy with it...It's a cool little game to play 10 minutes or so at a time. Not terribly deep, but fun.

I almost forgot to mention: Lego Star Wars II: ToT for GC. I'm enjoying the game in general, but feel the levels are just too long. Either the gameplay should vary more within the levels, or they should have made them shorter. I usually have time to play the game later in the night after prime-time TV, and I almost fell asleep playing a level the other night before I finally completed it.

I got 'The Godfather' for the 360 in late September. A great game. A lot to do. Over 32 hours into it and I'm not done yet. A very immersive game. It's to bad that Al Pacino didn't paticipate in the game.
