So, I'm currently hardware modding my psp, but I can't decide on whether I want a full body protector, or a screen protector.

Pros/Cons, anybody?

I had one of those plastic sheet protectors and it didn't last very long.
Why do you not draw your sword?

Hey guys, as you may or may not remember I hacked my PSP a while back.

Today I went to get Beats, but found out that I need a firmware of 3.70 or later. So is there a stable M33 firmware in the 3.7x ballpark?

Also, I always wondered. How does one go about downgrading a custom firmware? Hopefully there's just a tool and it's not as hard as downgrading an Official FW.

Yeah, I'm not too educated in this stuff. It's a wonder I hacked the thing without bricking it really. ^^;

Hey, 151, my man. I got a HORI liquid crystal screen protector for my PSP Slim. It applied fairly easily (a few not very noticable air bubbles, in my case) and does not hamper the gaming experience one bit. The only thing with them is the screens aren't perfectly to size to the screen, minus about a few mm's from the screen and all the edges of the screen aren't completely covered. But hardly noticable, only if you look at the where the screen ends you'll be able to see it, really. I recommend this product, I picked it up off of Play-Asia for about 7 bucks. I also got a really cool pouch from Renchi.com for my PSP Slim. The Hard Pouch series...

The screen is nice because it isn't very prone to scratches, but will smudge up a bit if you touch it with your hands. Say goodbye to scratches that never meet your PSP with this product! (-_-...hehe)

I'm currently looking into getting some more memory for my PSP so I can try out Beats...

Thanks Aquas! I was looking into those the other day. I'll probably buy it now.

You're going to need to make an account but it's a good place.
Also I guess I'm going to have to repeat but..

Beats is not playable on custom firmware yet (unless you downloaded it from the store yourself, and even then, that's iffy..) as it uses some new encryption scheme that hasn't been cracked yet (information says that it'll have to be cracked through firmware, NOT through the game, to make Beats work.) Get it here. No password.

You also need firmware 3.70 or HIGHER to run Beats.

I'd search this for myself but I wouldn't know where to start.

Is there a homebrew program that allows me to record in-game movies? I think if there were one I'd know by now, but I don't risk anything to ask. I'm looking to record in-game movies, not the dashboard, not the crossbar and whatnot.

Thanks.

The newest firmware update that's coming will allow the recording of certain channels with that television deal, but I'm not sure if you can do movies yet. Give me a tick to check on it.

Well, I found one plugin that you need to use for Devhook, and the other for iRShell. Unfortunetly nobody's made a standalone version of videocapture for CFW.

3.71M33-4 released:

Quote:
Requeriments:
- Previous version of 3.71 M33

Instructions:
- Copy the UPDATE directory to /PSP/GAME and execute it.

Changelog:

- Bugfix: Multidisc psx games bought in the psn store would not work due to the format being different
and M33 treating them as decrypted games.

- Added support for decrypted multidisc psx games created with popstation_md (supplied with this release).

Included in the package is a new version of popsloader.
Changelog in popsloader:

- Bugfix: Games without compression had sound issues when using 3.72 pops. Fixed.
- Added support for multidisc px games created with popstation_md. Note: multi disc games will
only work in 3.71 and 3.72 pops. Previous pops will exit to the xmb with generic error 0x80000004
when attempting to run multidisc games.

Hey, did you guys here? PSP 3.80 firmware is out now, and you can play PS1 games via remote play from the PS3, whether they are disc based or downloaded .

Other features:
Quote:
* [Internet Radio] has been added as a feature under [Network].
* The importing of channels in OPML format is now supported under [RSS Channel].
* Photos can now be displayed under [RSS Channel].
* New effects have been added to the visual player under [Music].
I am VERY happy with the PSP -> PS3 Sony connectivity that Sony really seems to be pushing. Christ I need an updated firmware that can utilize all of this ...

Thanks! <3 A lot of these are really well made. I'm surprised some of even the most obscure games have been covered (Slap Happy Rhythm Busters for example).

Thanks! <3 A lot of these are really well made. I'm surprised some of even the most obscure games have been covered (Slap Happy Rhythm Busters for example).

God damnit, I just upgraded to M33-3 a few days ago. D:<

Oh well, it's not like the update is that important..
is big update:

Quote:
- Bugfix: Multidisc psx games bought in the psn store would not work due to the format being different
and M33 treating them as decrypted games.

- Added support for decrypted multidisc psx games created with popstation_md (supplied with this release).
